Athena watched Phelium as he glared at Ryan, who was walking alongside Brooklyn ahead of them. Athena sighed in exasperation , "Just go up and talk with them."
Phelium turned to look at Athena. Not knowing what to say. He cleared his throat "Nah it's okay, it's better if I don't budge in..."
"You say that but a while ago you..." Athena's voice trailed off as Phelium remembered what he did.

A few moments earlier...
"Nice to meet you, I'm Phelium."
"Nice to meet you too, my name's Ryan."
Their hands silently competed for a stronger grip, while Ryan remained to smile with cool expressions.
"Ah guys, you're here." Interrupted Brooklyn "This is Ryan, he's in the year above."
The group silently greeted him as they observed Ryan.
"We're childhood friends." Ryan added in as he wrapped his arm around Brooklyn's shoulder.
Phelium's countenance stiffened, but he could only clench his fist.
Brooklyn gently removed Ryan's arm. "What are you doing?" She mumbled with a confused look.
"Hm?" Ryan asked with his eyes.
Layla quickly spoke up, not being able to bear the awkward tension. "If you guys are all free, why don't we eat dinner together?"
Athena, Ethan and Phelium all turned to look at Layla.
Layla widened her eyes and mouthed "What?"
Brooklyn hesitantly agreed, while Ryan was particularly eager for this chance.

Present moment...The group were walking towards the high street to find a place to eat, Brooklyn and Ryan led them while the others trailed behind.
"What are you up to these days?" Ryan asked Brooklyn as they walked ahead.
"Nothing much," Brooklyn smiled "but I've been doing fine, it's fun having those guys with me."
Ryan smiled back "It's good you found a bunch of good people."
"Yeah it is." Brooklyn grinned.
Ryan blushed at her smile and tried to avert his eyes elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Ethan and Layla were at the back busy playing video games with their eyes glued to the phone screen. Layla was getting competitive and was beginning to curse under her breath. In the heat of the game, a sudden phone call appeared on Layla's screen.
"Ah what! I was just getting-" Layla paused as she read the contact name, Dylan.
Ethan glanced over at her screen then at Layla. "Who's that?"
"Uhh it's nothing." Layla shoved the phone into her pocket. "Just a friend."
Her cheeks were suddenly pink.
"Ah..." Ethan said with a nod. Why is she so flustered?
"Guys we're here!" Exclaimed Ryan, he pointed to a restaurant on the opposite side of the street.
