Mingyu woke up a bit late at around 10, he had a class by 12:30 so he had enough time to laze around his dorm.
After drinking with Seokmin and Myungho yesterday, Mingyu completely blacked out although he still remembered joyfully slow dancing with Seokmin while Minghao looked at them with distate.
As Mingyu tried to remember yesterday, the aroma of what Mingyu assumed to be ramyeom hit his nose enlightening his senses.
Mingyu instinctively followed the aroma to the living room and landed his eyes on the pot of ramyeon on the coffee table.
"Ya! Ramyeon!" He called endearingly as he rushed to the pot. "Myungho, how could you betray me like this?" Mingyu asked, his lips quivering as he stared at the ramyeon.
"I tried to wake you up like 10 times, but you kept going back to sleep." Myungho took another bite and Mingyu's stomach growled.
Noticing Mingyu's desperation for the ramyeon he had woken up super early to prepare, Minghao sighed before pushing the pot over to Mingyu's side.
Why was his best friend like this? Truly an overgrown puppy. Minghao watched as Mingyu's eyes lit up once he took a bite and a smile formed on his face. His ramyeon was definitely not that good but seeing Mingyu gobble it down was very sweet.
"Do you have class today?" Mingyu asked, his mouth still full. "Oh gosh, I thought I trained you to keep your mouth closed while chewing." Minghao took out his phone while Mingyu pouted and continued eating.
"I don't have class today, thankfully so more time to spend with my -"
"Boyfriend." The two completed the sentence and Minghao chuckled at Mingyu's expression. "What?" He asked trying to suppress his laughter.
"Your boyfriend this, your boyfriend that, does your boyfriend know any handsome strangers?" Mingyu swallowed while Minghao started to laugh. Before they even realized, they were laughing with each other.
"Sorry to burst your bubble Mingyu, all of Jun's friends are weird af... but you didn't hear it from me." Minghao informed the boy who huffed in disappointment.
"Weird how?" Mingyu looked up. "Well one of his roommates has some sort of obsession with tigers and the other one stays locked in his room 24/7, I don't think I've ever seen him before." Minghao explained.
"I think the universe is against me finding love." Mingyu folded his arms and Minghao leaned forward, intrigued by his best friend's sudden realisation.
"How?" Minghao asked keeping his phone by his side. "Since Yeri, I've had no luck and that was like 3 years ago." Mingyu complained.
"Well considering she was your gay awakening, I don't think we should even count her as a relationship... you guys barely even dated." Minghao corrected Mingyu who sighed before laying fully on the floor.
"Okay listen, maybe you haven't had luck for the past few years but that's normal." Minghao tried to comfort Mingyu who just stared at the ceiling.
Minghao took a deep breath before following up with "And don't forget your mystery man!"
At the mention of his mystery man, Mingyu sat up, his eyes now full of sparkles as he looked at Mingyu. "You don't think I should give up on him?" Mingyu asked, expectantly.
"...You know what, yes, I don't think you should give up on him." Minghao confirmed and the smile on Mingyu's face only grew bigger.
"You, Xu Minghao, supporting my delusions?" Mingyu asked in utter shock. "New year new me." Minghao replied and Mingyu tilted his head.
"We just entered June though?"

Wonwoo stepped out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist and his wet hair leaving droplets of water on the wooden floor.
He was supposed to go out with Jihoon and Hoshi to buy some decorations for the party. "Thought your class was later in the day?" Jun asked and Wonwoo blinked in silence. Fuck! He didn't know how to lie.
"Umm, yeah, just going... to meet my professor for something." Wonwoo leaned back with his legs crossed and his hand on his waist. Jun seemed skeptical but let it go. "Oh, okay." He replied before throwing on his jacket.
"Well I'm off, think we could go out for dinner? I'm so bored of this dorm." Jun faced Wonwoo as he reached the door.
"Yeah, of course." Wonwoo replied earning a small smile from Jun before he opened the door and left. Wonwoo took a deep breath. Whew, he had successfully lied for the first time. A real moment to celebrate.
Wonwoo put on his usual black on black outfit before wearing his glasses and his face mask. Covid was over but Wonwoo just felt a lot more comfortable covering his face in public.
His phone began to buzz and as he looked at the caller id, the name HOSH displayed on top. He answered the call and put it on speaker leaving the phone on his desk as he wore his necklace.
"We're outside the dorm!" Hoshi's somewhat high-pitched voice did not translate well through the speakers and instead left Wonwoo with a sudden pang of pain in his ears.
He also wondered if Hoshi was really his roommate or if he was Jihoon's roommate with the amount of time he spent in Jihoon's dorm.
"Okay, I'm coming." Wonwoo cut the call and left the room before opening the door to the two lovebirds, hand in hand with smiles on their faces, one looking a lot more forced than the other.
"What is this? The Shining?" Wonwoo asked stepping out of the dorm while the two moved backwards. "The Shining has nothing on us." Jihoon replied plainly as Wonwoo locked the door.
"That sounded very convincing darling." Hoshi placed his arm around Jihoon, his tone laced with sarcasm. "Oh gosh, I forgot I had to prepare to third wheel you guys today."
"Don't worry, there's going to be a fourth wheel to keep the car rolling." Hoshi reassured Wonwoo who immediately looked at him. "Who?"
"Jun's boyfriend, Xu Minghao."
