"My name's Mingyu by the way." Mingyu informed the man in front of him who simply rolled his eyes before walking away.
"Don't worry! I'll make you mine!" Mingyu shouted before remembering he was in public. He quickly covered his face and rushed out...
Mingyu opened his eyes. They'd reached the airport. He'd slept throughout the whole car ride. It was usually impossible for Mingyu to fall asleep while in a car but Wonwoo being beside him ensured him safety and a good shoulder to sleep on.
The four boys walked into the airport but split right at the entrance as Mingyu and Wonwoo's flight was local while Hoshi and Jihoon's was international.
Wonwoo hugged his best friends before seeing them off. Mingyu watched as Wonwoo looked at them right until they were out of sight.
"Are you okay?" Mingyu asked, his hand placed on Wonwoo's shoulder. "Oh, yeah, just, I'm just going to miss them." He answered and Mingyu moved his hand to his head before patting it.
"Don't worry, you'll have me!" Mingyu pulled Wonwoo closer, once again turning the boy's face into a tomato. "Let's go." He said and the two walked towards their gate to check in.
Mingyu helped Wonwoo get through everything smoothly as it was his first time flying. "So you've never flown anywhere before?" Mingyu asked once they got to their gate, a bag of snacks now in Wonwoo's right hand.
"Mhmm." Wonwoo hummed opening one of the bags and taking out his croissant. "Only road trips... lots of road trips." He responded before taking a bite.
"I've never been on a road trip before." Mingyu said and Wonwoo looked at him in surprise. "Really?" He asked, taking another tiny bite. Mingyu smiled at how miniature Wonwoo was despite being 6ft tall.
"Yeah, no one to take me, my parents have never been around long enough." Mingyu explained. It did hurt him when he was little but after he entered middle school, he stopped caring that they were never there when he needed them and that he was raised by nannies and not his parents.
"Are you okay?" Wonwoo asked, putting his hand on Mingyu's. Mingyu smiled, then nodded. "I'm fine now, I'm used to it." Mingyu assured him and although Wonwoo looked unconvinced, he accepted Mingyu's words and went back to his croissant.
"What do you want to do in Jeju?" Mingyu questioned, leaning back on the uncomfortable chairs. "Sleep." Wonwoo replied almost instantly and Mingyu chuckled before noticing Wonwoo's serious face.
"You're joking, right?" He asked and Wonwoo slowly shook his head. "Nope. I haven't slept well in ages." Wonwoo explained.
"Well, what of after sleeping?" He asked, wondering what the beauty's answer would be this time. "I don't know, you can plan all the fun stuff." Wonwoo said, truly not concerned about any activities.
Mingyu folded his arms, annoyed, but also impressed at how much Wonwoo really didn't care about what Mingyu had planned for them.
"Why did you go quiet?" Wonwoo asked, noticing Mingyu's silence. "You don't care about what I've planned." Mingyu pouted.
Wonwoo chuckled. "I do care but wouldn't it be better if the plan was more of a surprise for me? Would make the whole trip more fun too." Wonwoo tried to cheer up Mingyu with an enticing idea.
He knew what Wonwoo was doing but he didn't care, it was Wonwoo so he was obviously already enticed from the moment he opened his mouth to speak.

The two boys eventually boarded the plane and Wonwoo's mouth hung open in astonishment as he beheld the inside of the airplane. He could feel Mingyu grinning at him even though he couldn't see him.
They had no carry-on as the flight was pretty short so the two boys just sat in their seats 2A and 2B. Wonwoo's first time in an airplane also happened to be his first time flying first class.
All thanks to the giant puppy beside him.
After multiple procedures, the flight finally took off and Mingyu fell asleep immediately, covering his eyes with an eye mask, his ears with the earplugs and his body with the blanket.
Wonwoo giggled seeing how fast the boy fell asleep for a 2 hour flight. Wonwoo on the other hand, could not fall asleep because he was too busy scanning the plane and looking outside the window. He was behaving like a child because he was slowly starting to heal his inner child.
Something he never thought he'd be able to do. Until Mingyu came into his life.
After being wide awake for about an hour, Wonwoo followed in Mingyu's footsteps and decided to fall asleep, with just one hour left on the clock and the city of Jeju just within their grasp.
He was going to have SO much fun. And even though he pretended he didn't care about what Mingyu had planned, he cared SO much that he didn't want to know. He really wanted to be surprised.
In that moment, he was so happy that Mingyu tapped his shoulder that day because if not, none of this would have ever happened.
Wonwoo finally stopped thinking and drifted off to sleep. His hands clasped in happiness and excitement.
