At first you were in shock, questions racked your brain as you looked up at the mech. He wasn't looking at you and while your entire being was stinging with anticipation, you could tell he was doing the same. The hopeful side of your brain screamed for joy at the thought that he liked you back. You had pinched your arm thinking maybe you fell off the tree branch he had set you on and that you were dying, and this was a fucked-up death hallucination. But when you felt the pain, you knew you were wide awake and aware.

He hadn't said anything after his statement. It wasn't even a question. But you could feel that he was holding himself back as he walked through the forest. You hadn't been able to give him an answer since your brain was still trying to comprehend what had just happened. It was like you were on autopilot to breathe, your lungs expanding and deflating on their own. Your heart had been pounding in your chest as the feeling of elation entered and flowed through your veins. Your eyes darting from the blurry green that surrounded you, looking for cameras and a badly dressed TV prank show host to jump out and laugh at you, frosted tips and all.

You had to be dreaming you kept telling yourself, not finding a single glance of another soul in the forest but there couldn't be a universe where this could happen, where the person you had been pinning for would...want you back. The memories flipped through your brain, second guessing every look he had given you, trying to find a hint of affection that he had hidden, or maybe you were in such a state of denial that it had been so obvious, and even when you came up short, not wanting to dawn the rose colored glasses and trick yourself into finding something that wasn't there, you looked at him and knew he was being truthful.

The speed of your heart, the sweat on your hands, the way your head felt lighter than a feather, when he looked back down at you. You felt like your whole face was on fire. This wasn't what you had planned for your day. This wasn't what you had planned for at all. You were supposed to leave, go home, get back to your own world. And he had just made that a million times harder. You always assumed that your feelings would be crushed down, grounded up into a fine dust, and then blown in your own face. Followed by hearty laughter and dying of embarrassment, never had you ever thought he would just admit his own to you by not just asking you out, but telling you he wanted to.

You wondered what did him in. You had spent weeks practically ignoring him, did it really happen all in the last few days? You couldn't imagine yourself being that irresistible but if there were signs that he thought so, you weren't able to read them. You tried to imagine what the rest of your life would look like if you were taken right now. Thrown back into your world, waking up from this long intricate dream, all you felt was anguish at the thought. You breath caught in your throat as you struggled to not cry, telling yourself that wasn't going to happen. You weren't that lucky.

When the farm came into view and you realized that you still hadn't answered him, your head started to spin. Did he want the others to know? Did he care? What if he wanted to keep whatever relationship that blossomed between you two a secret? Could...you handle that? Your mouth went dry and a part of you didn't know if you'd even be able to speak. Still, you took a shaky breath and tried to string your thoughts together. Before you could even murmur a word, he was already in the middle of a pasture closer to the barn, slowing his pace to a stop by the time you had attempted to speak.

"Megatron I-" He gently cut you off. His hand started to lower you to the ground, helping to hold you up when you stumbled slightly, waking your legs up from sleep. You felt the slight pins and needles sensation in your feet but knew it would go away. A part of you already missed being in his grasp.

"I do not need an answer from you right now, I am just not going to be holding back my intentions anymore." For as much as you felt relieved you felt just as confused. You wondered how many times he had held back before. How many times had he wanted to reach out or talk to you and you hadn't noticed because you were so caught up in what you did wrong that you hadn't stumbled onto the thought that maybe he was feeling the same way you did.
