It didn't take long for the snow to melt and for your life to settle into a peaceful rhythm. You'd spent the last few months of winter enjoying the time you had off from work and getting ready to jump back in full force come spring. Megatron had been spending almost every free moment he had with you, bot mode, human mode, it didn't matter to him. Just as long as he got to see you and hold you and kiss you, he was satisfied. And now that the winter had gone and the flowers were starting to bloom again, he'd taken you to that one meadow from all those months ago. It felt like forever, but nothing had changed. The pond still hummed with small animal activity and the bees collected pollen from the blooming flowers.
You laid there, cloud watching as your partner traced patterns on your skin in his human form.
"The weather is so nice today." You mumbled. He hummed in response, lazily grabbing your hand and lifting it to his face. He peppered kisses on your palm and the back of your hand, earning a smile from you as you cupped his face.
"I do not want to talk about weather." He commented, shifting his arms to sit up on his elbows. You let out a breathy laugh and mimicked him.
"Well what do you want to talk about. You seem like...you have a lot on your mind." You prodded, hoping to get something, anything, out of him. But instead of indulging in your curiosities, he only leaned over and pecked your cheek.
"You'll know soon enough. I'm planning something." His eyes shifted. "Stop trying to ruin your surprise." He commanded, albeit jokingly. You sighed and nodded, conceding enough for him to be sure you wouldn't keep poking him for an answer.
His human form was a nice change from his normal appearance but you had to admit there was something oh so intriguing about being wrapped up in a 20 foot tall robots arms. But at least while he was like this you could cuddle with him easier.
You sighed into the crook of his neck. Choosing to enjoy the rest of the sunset in peace. A peace you didn't know was short lived.
A raggedy cough left the man, making him hold onto the console in front of him so he didn't fall. That stupid, stupid robot. That stupid, stupid girl. He thought as he flipped though the files he had access too.
Degrading is what it was.
A mind as smart and cleaver as his being held captive behind a steal door and a group of guards. If he wasn't so intelligent, he would have thought he was being protected and not held imprisoned the same as the filthy aliens. Just without the energy cage. The worst part wasn't even the traitorous human girl and her stupid attitude. It was the guilt he felt for practically throwing her to the wolves in the first place, he had intended for her to be a quick distraction, Dorothy was supposed to have chosen Megatron to save. Meridian didn't anticipate Megatron being able to break through his cuffs and catching the girl.
It was unprecedented that the brute would even care to "save" a human in his eyes, Meridian didn't believe he had it in him. But now with that knowledge he wouldn't make that mistake again.
He groaned and hit his keyboard, not entirely on purpose. He could feel the blood and energon in his body fighting each other, organic matter moving around and through the alien life force, warming the cold and electric substance. It sickened him that the overwhelming urge to break the walls down and find the stockpile of energon was present and ever growing. The thought made him gag.
It didn't help that his human body felt week compared to the alien arm. His forehead slick with sweat almost day in and day out, his legs tired from the drag of his mismatched limb. He was about to collapse until a sound from his screens woke his nervous system back up. On one of the screens overlooking a tucked away hallway, he saw a flicker of movement.
