Only Me When I'm With You

The last half hour of your time had been hectic. Starscream didn't put up a fight, being as he was hardly functioning from his fall which made it easier for Megatron to "apprehend him" as he put it. Starscream had started off by yelling insults at Megatron when he finally came to. He called him a coward and a traitor but soon after Starscream realized he wouldn't get anywhere with that; he noticed you.

"Ah so is this your new pet? Your other one seemed a bit tougher than this one." He cooed at Megatron, hoping for a reaction. Megatron just nudged him with his canon, muttering a small "Shut up and move." Thats when Starscream fully turned his attention to you.

"You should run away little human, before big bad Megatron regains his senses and comes back to the side where he belongs." Megatron had helped you perch yourself on his shoulder like how Dorothy would. This way he would still be able to walk his regular pace and had two free hands if Starscream somehow freed himself. You were too close to his face for your liking and Starscream's constant talking was not helping since it caused Megatron to turn to look at your reaction every time. You didn't even process what he was saying at a certain point.

You cut Starscream off as he was in the middle of another "He's a monster, he'll just throw you away when you become of no use to him." rant. it surprised you how many he could fit in the span of a few hundred feet.

"Can you actually stop talking? Whatever you are hoping to happen is actually having the opposite effect." You groaned into your hands, as that only seemed to make him want to talk more.

"He can't be trusted! Unlike him, little human, I'm trying to tell you the truth!" Starscream shrieked at you.

"You know, I kind of wished everything you said was true, because maybe he would have shut you up ages ago instead of making this a million times harder than it needed to be." You felt Megatron hold back a laugh at Strascream's bewildered face. The rest of the walk was semi-quiet after that, save for a few mumbles you could hear from the prisoned mech. Once you were close enough to the forest line that you could see your house, Megatron set you down and told you to go and stay at your apartment. He said he would send someone to get you when it was safe for you to go to the farm, and while you wanted to argue, tell him no or just follow behind him where he couldn't see you, your mind instead told you to listen, and you watched as he walked in the direction the led to the outskirts of town. The rain had let up just a bit but the longer you stood there the wetter your hair got.

You didn't want to leave the forest line. You feared the moment you walked past the trees; you would be back in reality and your wonderful afternoon with Megatron would have been a cruel vison. It didn't help that a small voice in your head told you he was just going to go back to normal the moment he was around others. You knew you couldn't live with that; your heart wouldn't be able to handle it. The soft glances and warm words couldn't just be reserved for the meadow. So, you walked back slowly. Only quickening your pace when you remembered you left your windows open.

Only after you ran around your apartment like a mad man, closing all your windows and cleaning up any water mess that accumulated, did you allow yourself to think about the robot man again. You felt your face heat up and, in an attempt to cool off, you cupped your hands to your cheeks. The pitter-patter of the rain would slow and quicken with the wind, but it did nothing to sooth your restless mind. You wished more now, then ever, that you could go home. You wished you would wake up to your shitty alarm for your shitty job, in your shitty apartment, hoping to save up for a shitty car so you didn't have to take your shitty public transport. You wished you didn't have the dilemma of your heart being completely owned by some stupid alien for no reason you could think of.

You hated that his touch sent you to a different planet, you hated that his voice was the only thing you wanted to hear until you went deaf. You hated that you wanted him to be the first and last thing you thought about every day. It made you feel sick to know you wouldn't be able to have what you wanted. You called yourself stupid for even having this fantasy or for thinking you could ever be with him. Even if he did like you or have feelings for you, you were supposed to go home. Back to your world where he didn't exist. You wanted to stay. You wanted to keep the found family you had made for yourself. Even if he wasn't in the picture, you would miss everyone here.
