It's the author here.
Nov 5th was one of the worst days of my life. If you don't think Transformers is political, it is. It's anti-war and inclusive and if you can't handle that then I suggest you find a new show to like. My trans friends and family's lives are at stake in the next 4 years but I want everyone who is terrified to know that the fight doesn't stop here. Hate will never win. If you are in the USA and are distraught and angry and sad please just know I am here with you.
I've had to cut off my father because of this election. This year was hard enough for me and my family since I lost both my grandfather and best friend in the span of a week, 2 months before my wedding. My reproductive rights are at stake. My husband and I wanted so desperately to start having children in 2 years but now I'm going to get the copper rod because he doesn't want to see me die in a hospital parking lot simply because the doctors are too scared to help me since they could lose their license or be jailed!
WE. MUST. SURVIVE.
If you can protest, do it! if you can sign petitions, do it! We will keep pushing back against the hate! I will never stop spreading love and joy and happiness to every person I come across. If it kills me one day, then I will at least know I reached out to as many people as I could.
If you are in America and are feeling like taking your life would be better than living through the next 4 years YOU ARE WRONG! WE NEED YOU. YOU MATTER. Please keep living! There is still hope and love and brightness in the world! It doesn't stop just because a monster one a battle. I will respond to anyone who needs help in the comments.
