Next Monday
Kali walked into her office at 8am, preparing for her meeting with Von at 9:30am. Excited wasn't the words for how she was feeling.
In the back of her mind, she felt like all her friends needed therapy, even her, and for her to be the one to help them made her feel all groggily inside.
She knew Von, he was going to try to play the whole time and just talk as if they were at home, but Von knew her too. He knew she was going to take this serious, especially because she felt like he needed it and she liked the feeling of making a difference in someone's life.
She unlocked her door and sat her Pink leather Marc Jacob's bag on her desk along with her backpack that carried her notebook and her MacBook and her Stanley.
She retrieved her MacBook from her Laptop and pulled up the file that Von's probation office had emailed to her.
She quickly scanned over it, gathering everything she needed to know about her patient, taking mental notes along the way. "Dayvon Bennett...25 years old... Reckless Endangerment... Assualt... Probation Requirments..." She read out to herself looking over the file.
She planned on keeping this extremely professional, leaving any relationship they have outside of her doors. She thought that this was her opportunity to use everything that she'd learn on her closes friend. After all, everyone has room for improvement.
Her door opened, causing her to jerk her head up from her MacBook. There stood Von, bowlegged as hell. His head was tilted to the side and he stood with his chains over a Black tee shirt and black Jeans.
He scanned over the office, rubbing his hands together, laughing at the pink wall behind her desk, knowing how extra she is about her space. "You done painted these people shit pink?" He said taking a seat in front her desk.
Kali mugged him, not understanding what's funny. She turned around and looked at the wall before looking back at him. "What's funny?"
He shook his head, "Nah I'm just fucking with you son. This cute though, this look like you." He said waving his hand at the decorations. "Why this my first time seeing yo' shit?"
Kali closed her laptop and looked at him with a steady expression. "I don't know ask yourself that."
Von waved her off, sitting back in the chair with his hand interlocked in front of him. He spun the chair side to side, finding this amusing. "Oh my bad, I forgot you sensitive. Don't cry Kali. I like the pink."
She rolled her eyes at him and turned up her lip. "Fuck you."
"That's how you talk to yo patients?" He asked turning his head at her, he took his bottom lip into his mouth slowly, looking at her expression change into a smirk.
She shifted her gaze to his pink, glossy bottom lip and back into his eyes that never left hers. "No, that's how I talk to you."
He shrugged his shoulders, before taking a seconds glance about the room. "I ain't gone lie, it's cozy in this bitch. I should've brought a blanket or some," He remarked, taking in the grey scenery.
"It's a blanket on the couch," Kali replied, jerking her head in the direction of the couch. Von smacked his lips.
"Man all yo patients use that shit. I want my own shit."
"Well be cold then bougie ass." She smartly remarked.
Von playfully stuck his middle finger at her before sitting up in his seat, resting his arms on his knees. "Cmon Ms.Therapist, work yo' magic."
Kali sat back in her seat with a grin on her face. "Okay first. I want you to introduce yourself. Like first day of school type shit."
This wasn't how she talked to her patients, but since her and Von were comfortable with each other. She didn't feel the need to remain as professional.
