Kali
Next Day
Kali sat at her dining table on the phone with Valerie. Ken was in her room doing God knows what and she didn't want to be in there with him, or around him.
She honestly was tired of him being around. She missed her privacy and he was constantly in her bed, sleeping.
She was the type that valued her space. She wasn't comfortable with someone being in her face constantly. She was fine with how things were before: come through when you can and leave whenever, as long as you leave.
He hasn't given her any money towards any bills, or food, or anything. She wasn't even sure if he was making any money, being how much he was in her home.
Kali rested her chin on her fist and let out a deep sigh. "Valerie I just don't know." She said lowly in a whisper. Careful to not be overheard. This was ridiculous. Whispering in your own home.
"Then the sex hasn't been good at all." She continued, her voice barely above a whisper. "He can barely last over a minute, Valerie. Then, he can't even get it back up afterwards. Like what the fuck."
Frustrated, Kali poured up another shot and threw it back, chasing it with an Arizona tea.
"Friend you want me to come over?" Valerie asked.
-
About an hour later, Kali heard a knock at her door.
She was sitting in her living room watching Kill Bill, not wanting to be bothered by Ken. The two had hardly spoken a word to each other today.
Kali left for work without saying a word to him and she came back, and didn't say a word to him. Mostly, because he was sleeping both times.
She paused the tv before making her way to the door.
She peeked through the peephole and was taken back by who was standing there. 'Boo', Ken's friend was on the other side of the door.
Boo stood 6'1 at 200 lbs. He was wearing a Amiri Coat over a white tee with a backpack slung around his back. His hair was in a low cut and she could see his grills peaking through his lips as he held his phone up to his face.
She furrowed her eyebrows together before looking in the direction of her bedroom. I know this nigga didn't ...
Kali let out a loud breath before swinging her door open and leaving only a narrow gap open for her to squeeze through.
The irritation was obvious on Kali's face as she looked at Boo.
"Wassup?" She questioned, gruffly, her tone conveying a clear message.
Boo looked Kali up and down, taking in her natural curves before making his way up to her face. Damn, she bad.
He slowly slide his tongue over his bottom lip before bringing it into his mouth, in his head wondering if Kali was this fine the last time he'd seen her.
"Ken told me I could come through, I ain't know it was a problem," He said smoothly.
Kali face contorted in confusion and annoyance. Without hesitation, she slammed the door shut, leaving Boo standing alone on her porch.
"Ken!" She yelled out standing by the door.
A few seconds later, Ken opened her room door and walked up to her with confusion written across his face.
"What you screaming fo' son, wassup?," He asked, approaching her.
"You inviting people to my house without telling me?" She questioned with her hand on her hip.
