"Thik hai na, Pushpee," Haseena chimed in gently, trying to lift the mood. "Yeh nahi toh kisi aur Pandit Ji se puchte hain."

But Ammi shook her head, her expression disheartened. "Ek ne mana kiya toh sab wahi karenge. Waise bhi yeh shaadi unke liye samaj ke virudh hai..."

The weight of her words sank into the room, and for a moment, everyone fell silent, thinking of the obstacles ahead. The tension was thick, the future uncertain. But just as the air grew heavy with unspoken worries, a voice broke through, and everyone turned toward the main door.

As soon as Malaika entered the room, her voice rang out confidently, "Aapki samasya ka haal hai humare paas, Pushpa ji..." She stood at the entrance with a young girl beside her, their presence immediately drawing everyone's attention.

Pushpa Ji, recalling yesterday's chaos in the kitchen, smiled and responded, "Accha hua Malaika tum aa gayi, humare kitchen ka toh behaal hote-hote bacha hai kal!" She chuckled, then shifted her gaze to the girl standing beside Malaika. "Aur yeh kaun hai?" she asked curiously.

The girl, smiling politely, began, "Namaste Aunty—"

But Pushpa Ji interrupted dramatically, "Aunty? Kon Aunty? Hum toh tumse bas 2-4 saal hi...," she trailed off, noticing everyone's amused looks, then quickly corrected herself, "I mean, 4-5 saal bade honge! Abhi hume dekha hi kya hai zindagi mein!" Her exaggerated tone made everyone stifle a laugh.

The girl, unphased by Pushpa Ji's theatrics, replied cheekily, "Bacha bhi kya hai?" catching everyone off guard as they tried to hold back their smiles. Pushpa Ji, glaring at her, was clearly not amused.

"Aun— I mean Pushpa Ji," the girl began again, "hum Vedika Pandit, Ashok Pandit ki beti." The room fell silent, and everyone's expressions shifted in surprise. They quickly connected the dots, realizing that this was the daughter of the very Pandit Ji they had been calling for KareEna's engagement.

Vedika, sensing the tension, continued, "Hum jaante hain papa aapka phone nahi utha rahe, aur aap sab pareshan honge. Par kya kar sakte hain? Yeh sab... do ladkiyon ka shaadi karna unke liye naya hai, aur woh accept nahi kar rahe."

Ammi's face softened with understanding. "It's okay, beta. Hum samajh sakte hain. Hume bhi yeh sab accept karne mein bahut waqt laga tha," she said gently, her voice laced with empathy.

Pushpa Ji, however, was not one to lose focus. "Yeh sab thik hai, par sawal ab bhi wahi hai—ab kaise karenge shaadi bina pandit ke?" Her tone was practical, bringing everyone back to the main issue.

Vedika smiled confidently. "Kisne kaha Pandit nahi hai shaadi ke liye? Hum hai na? Hum karwaenge dono ki shaadi."

Pushpa Ji's eyes widened in confusion. "Haan? Tum kaise?"

Vedika stepped forward, her voice firm but kind. "Kyun nahi? Jab shaadi hi sari old traditions se alag ho rahi hai, toh hum kyun nahi kar sakte? Humein saare mantra aur vedo ka gyaan hai. Aur aisa kahin likha toh nahi ladki ne yeh sab karna nahi chahiye," she replied, her words filled with conviction.

A wave of relief washed over Karishma's face as she stood up from her chair and approached Vedika. "Aapke toh naam mein hi Ved hai! Humein koi dikkat nahi agar aap humari shaadi mein pandit ho. Ulta, hum toh khush honge," she said with a wide smile, her voice filled with gratitude.
