Chapter Twenty Three

I sat on the sofa frozen as I starred at the door Xavier had just left out off. I couldn't believe how much of an ass he was for making me find a ride to get to school when his ass had 4 cars parked in the drive way.

"Are you okay Ms. Knowles?" Karren asked as she witness the exchanged between Xavier and I.

"I'll be fine." I replied as she handed me a cup of coffee.

This is the kind of shit I got myself into because my dumb ass wants to please and avoid confusion. I always end up getting stuck while the other ass found its way around.

Xavier couldn't be that mad at me that he didn't want to let me use his car to go school. Its something about me and my dedication to school that he wasn't here for. I couldn't get my mind of the way he acted just because I was studying. I knew he said so many times that he was happy that I wasn't like any of his other girls he had before. But I was starting to believe that was lie.

I don't get it. How can you claim that your so in love with me but then finds it hard to support me? If Xavier expected me to just sit around, wait for him to give me an allowance; only for it to been thrown up in my face, he was gonna be waiting for a long time. The nature of his beast was being revealed right in front of me. Yesterday was the last time and only time I would ever accept something from him.

My phone started to vibrate besides me causing my thoughts to stop. I picked up the phone looking at the caller ID that read "Private". Curiously, I picked it up.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Good Morning Vacation Princess!" I heard Phillip say.

"Ahhh..... Phillip. I was wondering when will I hear from you! How are you?" I asked feeling a bit better.

"I am beautiful my darling. So you know that today is Tuesday right?" He asked.

"Yes." I replied smiling through the phone.

"Which means your vacation ends honey. So I am calling to let you no that as of tomorrow you return on duty. I know school starts for you in the next two weeks, do you have your school schedule as yet?" He asked.

"Yes sir, got it right in my hands as we speak." I replied taking it out of my bag.

"Excellent. Bring that in tomorrow when you come. Oh and Beyonce darling?" Phillip said.

"Yes Phillip." I responded laughing at the way he says my name.

"Your undercover boo, Mr. Carter will be returning and you are on his special services. So come prepare to make your comeback honey." Phillip said causing me to smile.

"Oh...Should I rock lace lingere instead of a bikini?" I said jokingly.

"You know you a bad bitch. You can just go nude." He said as we shared a laugh. "Come in whatever you like thats sexy and is a swimsuit. I'll talk to you later, bye." He said laughing.

I hung up the phone feeling excited to be back at work. The mention of Mr. Carter caused my stomach to harvest butterflies. In all honesty, I had strong feelings for him. Having him return after a whole month away was making me nervous. I didn't no what to expect. Phillip telling me, I was on his special service made me conclude that maybe he still interest in me. But so much has happen so fast already. I was in a relationship with a wishy washy type of guy, practically living with him & yet I was still hoping Mr. Carter still had feelings left for me.

It was okay staying by Xavier and having our flirting times because we were just dating. But now that he and I were official, I didn't no what to do. If Mr. Carter came my way, I wasn't about to gain a man by hurting another. Mr. Carter, I feel for but Xavier just sames right........I think.
