The weeks had flown by in a blur of championship defenses, travel, and late-night FaceTimes, but now June was here, and Jey could feel the tension building.
Every passing day brought him closer to the big reveal, but it also made it harder to keep Amahle from catching on.
She was sharp, and though her hectic schedule as SmackDown Women's Champion kept her distracted, her curiosity about her wedding dress had started to peek through.
When they got home after a long week on the road, Amahle casually mentioned wanting to visit the bridal shop to "just check on her dress." Jey's heart skipped a beat. She didn't know the dress wasn't there anymore, that he had already had it secretly shipped to Trin and Jon's house in Florida weeks ago.
Jey quickly excused himself to "make a call" and stepped into the hallway, his phone already in hand. He opened the group chat.
Jey:🚨Yo, we got a situation. She wanna go see the dress. Mama, I need you to stall her! Call her up and say somethin' to keep her away from that store.
