Trust that they'll be together eventually ;)CLOVE POV - THIRD PERSON
—
Clove looked good when she walked into the club, and she knew it. She had on a silky dark red dress that she knew fit her well and was a little short. Did she care? No.
That was one of the reasons she was thankful for Glimmer. She taught her to not care what other people thought, and helped her come out of her shell. Just two years ago, she would've been at home reading right now. Not that she stopped reading. She still read, she just learned how to balance staying in and going out.
"I'll take a Margarita, please," she slid into a seat at the bar and slipped some cash to the bartender. She wasn't even looking at him, she was focused on something else. But when she looked up, she was so glad she did.
"Hey, how's your night going?" He smiled at her. His blue eyes twinkled in the lighting of the bar, and she could tell he was ripped; his shirt fit like a glove, showing his muscles, and it was unbuttoned, showing some of his abs. His short, dirty blonde hair was spiked and he looked amazing in this lighting.
"Just getting started," she sighed.
"Don't wanna be here?" He smiled.
"No, I do. Just need to get drunk, is all."
"Fair. Here." He slid her a margarita and she smirked at him, taking a sip as she left.
"Thanks."
"Yeah, no problem.
Clove remembered that she was here for girls night. This wasn't to find a boyfriend. Or anyone, for that matter. It was just supposed to be a fun night, and it would be.
First ten seconds on the dance floor, and someone was already all over her. Shocker.
He gave her the ick just by existing. His black hair was greasy and too long, and something about him just wasn't right.
She pushed him off of her, disgusted.
Eventually she had even more idiots with big egos hit on her and Glimmer, and that was when she had it. If they won't listen the first time, sing it.
"Glim, come here." She grabbed the blonde's arm and pulled her over to the karaoke area.
"What are we doing?" Glimmer hissed. I was just dancing!
"Yeah, and getting hit on. They're not listening. So now we've gotta find another way to show them. Take this." She handed her a microphone, grabbed her own, and whispered something to the karaoke dude.
When the music started, Glimmer and Clove looked at each other. They smirked. They sang this a lot. It was their favorite song when they were younger, and it was perfect for now.
Clove and Glimmer had always been good singers.
"Why am I always hit on by the boys I never like?" Glimmer sang. "I can always see em' coming from the left or from the right."
"I don't wanna be a priss, I'm just tryna be polite," Clove added. "But it always seems to bite me in the-"
"Ask me for my number, yeah you put me on the spot."
"You think that we should hook up, but I think that we should not," they sang together.
"You had me at hello, then you opened up your mouth," Glimmer danced.
"And that is when it started going south, oh!" Clove flipped her hair out of her face.
They sang together. "Get your hands off my hips, or I'll punch you in the lips! Stop your staring at my-hey! Take a hint, take a hint! No, you can't buy me a drink! I think you could use a mint! Take a hint, take a hint, t-take a hiiiint!! T-take a hint, take a hiiiint!!"
