35 | HOMECOMING FITTINGS
"ARE you sure you don't want me to make you another dress?" Evie mentioned, keeping her attention on the dress she was currently readjusting.
"Yes, E. I love the one you made for Cotillion." Chuckling, Cassia rested on the bed watching Evie.
The female with blue hair had been trying to convince Cassia into letting her make another dress for her. But there was no need for Evie to since Cassia never got to wear the one she had spent her time in.
She was excited to finally wear it.
The blue was finally going to have its time to shine.
"Well, either way, if you change your mind..." The brunette rolled her eyes jokingly, hearing her friend's muffled words from the pencil she held between her teeth.
"You know I won't." Glancing at her nails, she removed her sight from Evie.
"It was worth a shot," Evie mumbled taking a step back to look at the dress. "I still can't believe Harry finally asked you to be his date."
The daughter of Evil Queen had heard about the group's interruption when Harry tried to ask Cassia. She could see the fumes exit through Harry's ears when talking about the situation, she had never seen him that furious.
And when he finally asked her, she heard it from him too. Both she and Elliot chanted in celebration for the pirate. They acted like a pair of siblings.
"Yeah, and I still can't believe you guys actually taught him how to dance without me knowing." Furrowing her brows, Cassia sounded in disbelief still.
"It was a surprise, and it wasn't my idea. It was Eli's." Evie looked toward the girl with a smirk. "Plus, we couldn't tell you!"
Smirking, Cassia nodded. "Yeah, yeah."
"Either way I'm excited!" Evie squealing once more made Cassia scrunched half her face from the sound.
Homecoming was now only three days away, and the preparations for it were anyone was talking about. It was the talk of the school. But everyone was excited, including some of the VK's.
And it was working perfectly well for Evie, since now she had double the orders of fittings for Homecoming than she did for Cotillion.
"You know, one day you're actually gonna buy your castle." The brunette's comment caused her friend to snicker softly. "And I better get an invite."
"You'll be first on the list." Evie winked at her, standing up from her chair and removing the dress from the stand.
Cassia's eyes guided over toward the lined-up dresses and suits she had finished. They were all beautiful, but there was one that stood out to the girl. A dark red suit.
"Who's this for?" Not stopping, she walked closer to the clothing item. Her hands not bothering to be kept to themselves.
"That's Harry's." And of course, it only made Cassia feel everything inside her move.
So this was what he was going to wear.
It reminded Cassia of his father's coat. The red with long sleeves, and the white layered dress shirt with black trousers. It would certainly fit Harry.
"I like it." Flew from Cassia's vocals when she passed her hand through the sleeve.
"And you'll love it once you see it on him." Bumping her hip with hers, Evie watched the girl's cheeks tinge red.
"Stop." The brunette chuckled in apprehension.
Cassia knew Evie was right because even if she could already picture Harry with the suit on, she knew she would grow steady when seeing him in person.
Looking over at the suit that stood next to Harry's, Cassia knew that was Elliot's. She didn't know he had come already to get his fitting in.
"Elliot came already?" She asked her thoughts.
"Oh, yeah. He came with Harry." Huh, so they're both buddy-buddies now.
It made the girl smile, thinking that the two were finally friends. From how they started, Harry didn't like him and Elliot only tried to befriend him. She thought it was nice that the two were officially good friends.
Nodding, Cassia moved back to her place on the bed. She sat back down with her hands on her thighs, glancing around the room with a puff that blew her cheeks.
"So..." She clapped her hands on the skin of her thighs, "You think something will happen?"
Evie turned, "Look at you asking questions." She gushed for the girl making her roll her eyes. "Maybe, I mean we both know how Harry is."
Cassia agreed, "Very flirtatious."
"I just hope at least a kiss happens." These words made the brunette gulp, feeling anxious.
It wouldn't technically be her first kiss. She remembered her first kiss was in her freshman year, and that was because Elliot dared her to. It was more of a truth-or-dare situation with a group.
Ray. The son of Prince Naveen and Princess Tiana. Though the two agreed that it was better to never speak about it again.
It was Harry who was officially going to be her first kiss after years.
"You know maybe just a hug is fine," Cassia added, making Evie furrow her brows with a smile. But she didn't question it.
"Well, whatever it is, it better be good." To this, the brunette nodded because it was true.
As much as she was nervous, she also wanted things to well. Because the last thing she needed was for her to step on his shoes — even if she knew how to dance. Or for her to spill punch all over his suit.
Oh, gosh, now thinking about it was making her overthink.
She shook her head trying to get those ideas out of her head.
Don't listen to the brain Cass!
A knock on the door was delivered, interrupting the girls conversation, "Come in." Fell from Evie's lips.
The door opened to reveal Doug. He was the one helping Evie out with the dress orders, so Cassia wasn't surprised to see him here. Also, the fact that she was the female's boyfriend. Glancing his way, Cassia gave him a small smile and wave.
She took a breath and laid back on the bed she sat on. Just three days, and she'll see.
