I may not know how this works,
But you've shown me a chain of your patience
I may have these annoying quirks,
But you sure know how to spark my ambience

You may be aggravating at times,
Do know that it's how I love you
You're a bothersome nettling design
That I'd love to tether and forever to sew

I may not understand the words you speak
But I've kept them and studied them dear
It'd remind me of the future we seek
As I reread them in my head where the isle is clear

Though you know we have our differences;
The stride and storm we rode and ventured;
Those where I hunger from your absences
Have surely shown us all that we endured

I may not know what's in your head
But dear, I hope you won't let go just yet
Hear me, after all that's been said;
To you and I, we were God-sent
