CHAPTER X

She surprisingly put it to rest,
Closed her book and then her eyesOut of nowhere, she sighed and thought;
That teenage her would've slept through two a.m.And suddenly it spilled through her teeth
"It's okay, I did my best."She did what she could
Amidst the worst, all for the bestFinally, after the cries and the sore,
Her mind succumbed to the silenceSo suddenly, she laid it down
The body that ached, the heart that sufferedAnd so it slipped out of her mouth
"I'm proud of what I did."She finally did it,
Found the best out of the worst for the better⊶⊰ ⊱⊷
