"Adisyn." Dax whispers, shaking my shoulder gently. I groan, burrying my face into the more than captivating white pillow on my bed.
My actions cause Daxton to laugh as he sits himself cautiously on the edge of my bed.
"Come on, pleeease?" He pouts, running his fingers gently through my hair.
"Why?" I groan, sitting up and opening my eyes. "Because we're going to spend the day together." He informs, smiling at me.
"Could we spend the day napping?" I pout, rubbing at my eyes.
"No, we kind of have to watch my sister." He smiles, pulling me so that I am leaning into his side.
"I'm sorry." He sighs, closing his eyes. "Hey, it's not a problem." I soothe, rubbing circles on his hand with my thumb.
He smiles down at me again, kissing the top of my head before pulling us both to our feet.
"Get dressed alright? I'm going to go make some breakfast, you're too tiny." He laughs, playfully poking my side before leaving and closing the door behind him.
I laugh at Daxton's playful demeanor. As Alpha he is usually such a serious person. It is nice to be able to spend some time with him, I haven't gotten too much since I got here. Between all of the pack business he has to attend to, and my injuries and ailments. To be honest I have spent more time with Austyn than Daxton so far.
I grab a pair of army green cut off shorts, along with a brown tanktop and a giant plaid flannel before entering my bathroom to get ready for the day.
Daxton doesn't want to pressure me so he gave me an entire bathroom to myself aswell as my own room. He is so easy going with the entire mate thing, Austyn told me that's because he cares about me a lot and is willing to wait up for me.
I think I am already falling for Daxton, how could I not be? He is so sweet, kind, thoughtful, and well, that body is definitely a point in his favour.
Falling fast for people isn't who I am. Dear god, it has never been who I am. I have always been the rational one, the one who plans out their thoughts precisely and takes her time to make a decision. Letting people in was always a challenge to me, but I think he is a good one, a good choice.
Everyone needs a good choice every once in a while. Like buying the side salad instead of the fries, or not crossing the road on a yellow light, but my good choice was different, more influential than that. My good choice was a boy named Daxton Andrews.
"Adisyn?" Daxton asks, knocking on my bathroom door. "Huh?" I ask, zoning back into reality. He lets out an easy laugh at my tone. "You coming to breakfast?" He chuckles. "Yes, of course, one second." I rush, pulling on my clothes before throwing the door open.
"You look adorable, now go eat some breakfast." He coaxes pushing me towards the kitchen. I smile, grabbing his hand and letting him drag me towards a very carefully laid out plate of sausages and waffles.
"Waffles?" I ask, my eyes instantly lighting up at the sight of my favourite pastry. Dax chuckles, taking in my excitement. "Yes sweetheart, waffles. I made them special." He replies, ruffling my hair as he takes his seat across from me.
I smile, digging into the waffles. I let out a sigh, closing my eyes in pure bliss. These were by far the best waffles I have ever tasted in my life. "That good?" Daxton laughs, causing me to nod. "I am going to gain so much weight living with you." I note, causing him to laugh harder. "I'm glad you liked them." He smiles, taking both of our plates and starting to wash up all of the breakfast dishes.
I walk up behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist and resting my head on his muscular back. I feel him jump slightly before letting out a breathy laugh. "Hi there." He greets, a smile in his voice. "Hi." I whisper in response.
