CHAPTER 24

After I finished showering, I quickly stepped out of the bathroom, but Ace was no longer there.

Tumingin naman ako sa may orasan, masyado pang maaga, pero mabilis akong nag asikaso para bumaba na. We had a guest appearance this morning and a short concert tonight.

It was just one song, but it was an important event we had been invited to. 

Habang nag aasikaso, my thoughts kept drifting back to Ace, and the way I looked at him last night, I shook my head, trying to focus.

Kinuha ko naman ang cellphone ko at bumaba na sa may kusina, naabutan ko silang nakaupo habang ang iba ay naghahanda ng makakain.

Tumulong naman ako sa kanila habang pinipigilan ang antok, wala pa rin si Ace, mukhang nag aasikaso pa sa kwarto niya, umupo na ako habang iniinom ang kape ko.

I went over the schedule for the day in my head. We had a morning of guesting on a popular talk show, then some free time before the evening concert.

I would need to stay focused and professional, but I couldn't help to feel uncomfortable sa tuwing sumasagi sa isip ko ang pagmamasahi sa kanya, I shook my head and take a sip in my coffee.

“Halika na Ace, nakahanda na ang pagkain” I heard Blake said, mabilis naman akong lumingon at nakita ko si Ace na nakasimangot habang ang kamay niya ay nasa kanyang bulsa.

“What's with that face?” Tanong ni Lucas sa kanya at umupo naman si Ace tabi ko.

“My body aches,” sagot nito at sinandal ang kanyang katawan sa upuan.

“What did you do?” Tanong naman sa kanya ni Ian.

“Work out” sagot ko sa kanila at nagtinginan sila at tumawa.

“Really? Why?” They ask in unison confused.

“I look like a girl, kailangan ko magkaroon ng muscle like Jix” Sagot nito at hinahawakan ang kanyang balikat, nagtinginan naman sila sa akin at nagkibit balikat lang ako at kumain na.

Pagkatapos naming kumain ay nagpahinga lang kami at bumyahe na.

We arrived at the studio for the talk show, and I took a deep breath before stepping out of the car.

The hustle and bustle of the crew and other guests was a familiar and comforting sight.

Mabilis kaming pumasok sa green room kung saan gaganapin ang talk show, a producer came, and we led to the stage.

The interview went smoothly, the hosts were friendly and engaging, and I felt myself relax a bit. We talked about the upcoming concert, our recent projects, and a few lighthearted topics.

Hindi naman ako makapag focus dahil sa panay ako tingin kay Ace, he looks so relaxed even though his eyes speak, he wants to rest and sleep, nagtama naman ang mata naman at yumuko ako ng kaonti.

As we left the studio, I felt a sense of accomplishment. The morning had gone well, and now we had some time to prepare for the evening.

We drove straight to the stadium where the concert would be held later that night.

I was sitting next to Ace in the car. He leaned on my shoulder and closed his eyes. Tila naging natural lang sa kanya ang pagiging magdikit sa akin, maski ang mga kasama namin sa sasakyan ay tila sanay na sa ganitong eksena, araw-araw ay mas kinikilala ko pa silang maigi.
