45 - Too Close and Too Far

EVELYN's POV

My heartbeat were still racing as Ria hurriedly closed herself inside the Gym room and I took a sigh of relief. But the rage within me crossed all limits when I felt Ethan's comforting hands on my shoulder, "Are you ok, Eve? I cannot believe and she would say all those things to you. I just could not tolerate-"

I flickered away his hands with full force, "You could not tolerate that girl's single line and threatened her, Logan's sister, who saved me twice?"

Ethan looked confused, and I smirked, "But looks like you have no problem in toleration when my brothers hit me infront of you, when they are ready to marry me off to a 23-year-old monster, taking no consideration of my plea. And you definitely had no concern when your so-called master abused me infront of you."

"Eve, please-" Ethan tried to convince me, but I pushed him away, "Not Eve, call me Miss Wilson. Please stop faking your emotions! Because if that was not the case-"

"HELP!"

The frightened cry coming from inside the gym stopped me and we both looked at each other in concern and ran to the gym's door to open, but it was locked from inside.

"Ria, Ria! What happened?" I cried out the door.

"HELP ME-!"

"I will break open the door," Ethan said hurriedly, and started pounding the door and I heard it creak just after the second blow and opened it with a great force.

We ran inside as I called for Ria and Ethan switched on the lights, only to find Ria on the floor and Daniel on top of her. Daniel slowly got up without a hint of guilt, only to say, "who told you to come inside?"

That shameless bastard!!

Before anyone else could react, Ethan punched on Daniel face hard, making him stumble back. That felt nice and what won my heart was that Ethan offered his hand to Ria, "Ria, common up. Are you hurt?"

I, too, helped Ria get up as she struggled to do so. She definitely was in shock and was hurt as she limped a little while getting up.

"Ria, my love, did I hurt you?" Daniel came to her instantly, with a concerning voice.

Huh??

I angrily punched Daniel's arm, "Are you bipolar? You are showing her this fake concern while you were trying to rape her just a while ago?"

Daniel's expression seemed funny as he winced a little, massaging his arm and then turned a blunt face, "little girl, I was not trying to rape her. How can I try to rape her when I love her?"

Woah! That was news!

Ethan and I looked at Ria as it was an impossible thing to believe, and to that Ria shook her head, "He is lying."

"I knew you are a maniac! I will take you to her father right now and then to police!" Ethan said and grabbed Daniel's collar while dragging him out."

"Wait!" Ria called out and sat on a nearby chair, "I mean, it's true that he... he didn't try to rape me, but it's a lie that he loves me."

Ethan let go of Daniel and turned to Ria, "Then why was he attacking you, and why did you call for help?"

Ria kept silent as if she hated to answer Ethan, and so Daniel spoke while adjusting his collar and shirt, "I wasn't attacking her. I mean, I was... but it was... it was to train her. I know It's hard to believe, but this is all to train her. In fact, this very Gym has been set up here just 2–3 months back... to train her."
