Delta wandered on streets of the city lost in her own thoughts. As she was shocked by Eza request, all her memories faded away. Everything was blur for her.
Suddenly a carriage hit her and she rolled down and banged her hand on a stone. As people gathered there to help her. Kate immediately came, picked her up and placed her in her carriage and left to the Duke's mansion in Belfast.
A concerned Kate expressed, "Oh! Dear Delta, please wake up, you have to be in a conscious state."
Kate took her inside the mansion. She placed Delta on the bed and called a physician.
The Physician came and prescribed the medicine and left. Meanwhile Kate took care of Delta. She prepared a cup of hot ginger tea and served her a bowl of hot tomato soup after Delta was Conscious.
A shocked Delta asked. "Mrs. Klen, What am I doing here?"
Kate responded with happiness, "Not Mrs. Klen, call me 'Mother-in-law'."
Delta shockingly expressed, "What? I think I could not hear clearly. Was it mother-in-law?"

Kate sat beside her, caressed her hair and said, "Yes, dear. Call me mother-in-law."
Delta intriguingly asked, "You hated me, right?"
Kate politely replied, "No Delta, I never hated you. I was against this marriage because I did not want the history to repeat itself."
Delta with a curiosity questioned, "What kind of history?"
Kate recited her past, "Delta, when I had initially married John, our married life was good for the first 2 months but one day I came to know that I was infertile. This shocked me to the core and John distanced himself from me. He was loyal to me and swore that he would never look at any other woman and he did keep that promise. Though he was loyal, we did not have sex at all for many years and he became a workaholic."
An emotional Delta calmed her, "Mother-in-law, I am so sorry."
Kate wiped her tears and replied, "it's okay, Delta. John was fully engrossed into his gardening business 24/7. I felt lonely and decided to adopt a child. My maid had become pregnant before marriage and wanted to get rid of her child but I requested her to give birth and hand it over to me. She agreed."
Delta was shocked to the core, panicked and asked, "Nate is a maid's daughter?"
Kate responded with inner strength, "Yes, he is."
Delta empathized, " I am extremely sorry about your struggles."
Kate warmly replied, "It's life dear. This is bound to happen. I was scared because your marriage was forced and your infertility may lead to failed marriage like mine and that is why I wanted it to protect you from sorrow. But what I see is my son was definitely not like his father. I am proud of my son."
