you and obi are padawans and with a night off you watch a movie
"Quin, shut up, stop being stupid," I punched Quinlan in the arm as we headed to training.
"No, I will not shut up. You two clearly are completely in love with each other and I will stop at nothing until you bang, or kiss, or kriff if I know! just do something instead of giving him fuck me eyes the whole time!"
"You're delusional, and I would be too if I thought that he actually liked me."
Quin let out an exasperated groan as we stepped into the training room, the air thick with the scent of sweat and determination. I shot Quin a glare.
"Obi!" Quinlan called, his voice cutting through the noise. Our fellow padawan peeled away from a conversation with Qui-Gon, relief washing over him as he joined us. Quin draped an arm over Obi's shoulder, grinning, while I managed a shy smile.
"Y/N," Obi greeted, a playful smirk dancing on his lips.
"Obi," I replied, trying to keep a level voice. Quinlan rolled his eyes dramatically, clearly relishing our little back-and-forth.
...
After our training session, the five of us—Quin, Obi, Shaak, Kit, and I—exited the arena, laughter trailing behind us along with our heat and sweat from training. We had permission from our masters to head into downtown Coruscant, a rare treat. After we had all showered and changed, we hopped into a speeder. Perks of being Padawans, we had been able to drive since we were about 12.
The afternoon sun bathed the streets in a warm glow as we made our way through the bustling crowds.
"Are we really getting that ridiculous amount of popcorn?" Kit asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Absolutely! It's a movie night requirement!" Quin replied, bouncing on his feet.
Shaak chimed in, "And don't forget the candy! I'm not missing out on that."
a/n - yes i know togruti are carnivores just pretend okay please forgive me
I shot Obi a teasing look. "You're not going to hog all the popcorn this time, right?"
Obi feigned innocence, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Me? I would never!"
"Yeah, right," I laughed. "I'm actually going to keep tabs on you."
"I am not that untrustworthy, am I darling?" he shot back, his eyes sparkling with mischief. The endearment was something normal for him but stars, it made my heart flutter.
As we walked, I felt the familiar banter flow between us, but there was something charged beneath it. I couldn't ignore the way Obi kept glancing my way, a hint of challenge in his gaze.
"Think you can handle a movie marathon without falling asleep?" he teased, an eyebrow raised.
"Please, I'll be the last one awake, thank you very much," I shot back, smirking.
"Is that a challenge, love?" Obi leaned in, his playful tone making my heart race.
"Absolutely," I replied, grinning.
The teasing continued as we reached the snack stand, and Quinlan stepped forward to place our order. "I'll handle this," Quinlan spoke, puffing out his chest and making Shaak-ti giggle. I turned and watched him, but I could feel Obi's presence just behind me, his playful energy hovering about me.
As I turned back around, he was wearing that infuriatingly charming smile. "You know, I could just let you have the last of the popcorn at the end to prove I'm not selfish," he said, his voice low and teasing.
