Quite some time passed before Crystal was feeling good enough to live her life normally again. Or, when Gigi allowed Crystal to live her life normally again, rather. Crystal felt completely better, like everything that had happened to her had not happened in the first place, and was ready to go back into the world. However, while her feeling better made Gigi happy, she still got nervous for her girlfriend. She couldn't help it - she didn't want the condition to come back, or have another kidnapping incident - but she couldn't, in good conscience, keep Crystal couped up at home all day.

So, after a great chunk of time set aside for Crystal's health getting back to normal, they transitioned somewhat smoothly back into the usual ways of life. Gigi's modelling job was back up and running, and it was going great. The first few times she had to leave Crystal alone to go to work, she almost considered quitting. Crystal talked some sense into her, and she soon realized that everything really was fine again, like the way it was before. She didn't quit her job, and she was glad that she didn't. She was starting to get noticed, and doors that weren't there before started to open for her.

While Gigi was at work, Crystal rotated through multiple things. She'd go to therapy in the morning, walk around some cool shops with or without Heidi in the day, and then hang out with Tic Tac and takeout while waiting for Gigi to come home in the evenings. While she felt great, inside and out, she refused to go out at night by herself. Even with others, she was still hesitant, the scary night of her kidnapping leaving a lasting effect in her mind. No one pushed her to do things she didn't want to do, which she was grateful for, but also a little embarrassed by. She felt like a little kid.

While she waited for Gigi, she would work on her paintings, every light in the apartment turned on. It was relaxing to fixate on her works, almost feeling like therapy, if it wasn't for the fact that she was already going to real therapy. Her therapist was lovely, and going made her healing process speed right along. It took a lot of time, but now, her trauma didn't seem so heavy anymore, like it was never even there in the first place - except for at nighttime, of course. Her and her therapist had come to the conclusion that she would be afraid of the dark for a while.

As the days turned into weeks, her artwork shifted from the dark and gloomy, heavily emotional pieces towards the bright and colorful, happy and brilliant paintings she - and everyone else - was normally used to. She sold the ones of her trauma as a collection, getting rid of the bad moods while also earning a pretty chunk of cash.

And so, everything was going well for the two girls. Life had thrown a curveball, but they survived, and they came out stronger in the end.

"Crystal?" Gigi called, eyebrow raised at not seeing the girl sitting on the couch. Tic Tac was there, but her girlfriend was nowhere in sight.

"In here!"

Gigi walked to the kitchen, eyes widening at the view in front of her. Crystal stood over the stove, apron on, stirring something in a pan with a wooden spoon.

"What are you doing?"

Crystal turned to look at Gigi, smile wide and shining.

"I'm cooking!" she responded happily, sounding proud of herself. Gigi raised her eyebrow once more.

"'Cooking'? You don't cook," she said, trying to sound nicer than just saying you can't cook.

"I know," the lavender haired girl grinned, turning back to the stove and starting to stir again, whatever in the pan sizzling.
