Playing a Dangerous Game

You will never be my mom

Within a second I was back on the ground and the bright light was gone.

"Okay, I need a game plan," I mutter to myself.

I make my way into The Commission building and avoid eye contact with the tons of people around me, hoping they won't notice me.

Okay, where would documents about me be? I think for a moment while walking to the hall with my room on it. I get in an elevator hit level 50 and make my way up.

Once the elevator stops and opens, I get out and walk to my room. I keep an eye out for people but on this level, there are never a lot of people.

I get to my room and sneak in, shutting the door. I let out a big breath I was holding and sat on my bed.

I think I know where the documents are but I don't know how I'm going to get in there...my mom's office is always guarded by a guy named Hazel, I've been on a few missions with him when I was starting.

I form a plan and take a deep breath to calm my nerves and make sure the gun is still strapped to my thigh under my dark blue dress. I nod at myself and walk out.

I've made it to the elevator and up to level 70 without being recognized. I guess people don't pay attention as much as I thought they did. Once I started walking to my mom's office, I checked the time on the clock in the hallway. 3 am... okay my mom is asleep

I sigh and peer around the corner, the coast is clear. I was going to run for it but I felt a tap on my arm. My heart skipped a beat and I jumped, when I turned around I saw a very short man with stubble.

"Herb," I mutter.

The short man who has followed me around since I was a young kid, smiled at me.

"I'm so glad you're back, have you finished the mission already?" He questioned excitedly.

I nodded, a thin smile on my face "Ya..something like that."

He looked at me and smiled "Does your mom know your back?! Let me go get here for you!" He goes to walk off

"W-wha..n..no" I stutter out and he looks at me weirdly. "It's just...I want to surprise her."

He weirdly looks at me but then smiles and nods. "Ok, Ms Shay. She is in her bedroom." He said before walking off

I let out another sigh of relief as he walked away and I looked around to make sure no one else saw.

I then made my way to the office, I knew it was going to be locked so I used my powers to melt the door handle. I then pushed it open and closed it back behind me.

"Sorry Mom" I whisper to myself

I looked around the room, not sure where to start first. I decide on her computer. I put in the password..my name and my birthday.

It allowed me in and I started looking through files on her computer. I don't see anything of importance till I come across a folder with a password on it labeled PS/TUA. I tried to think of a password, I tried my name and birthday, and her name and birthday. I even tried her favorite things.

None of it worked...I sighed and decided to look through files, she had a large cabinet in the corner of her office..this is going to take forever.

About 20 minutes later I finally found something of importance. A huge file dealing with..I guess tests run on me.

"Patient 8 seems irritated a lot"

"Patient 8's powers are getting too powerful we have had to give her meds to sleep"
