New's POV
My editor was over the moon when I told him I was moving to Thailand for a while. Given that my novels are in the fantasy genre and incorporate mythological elements from Thai culture, I've been offered several times to hold a book signing there. Moreover, the public doesn't know what I look like, and my editor loves how this air of mystery helps with book sales.
When he found out I was going, he started a new round of persuasion about the book signing. Especially since my new book is coming out next month. Eventually, that cunning snake enlisted the boys to help. And when the boys gave me those puppy eyes, saying I should try something new and that the book signing would be a great opportunity, and that I needed to get out and meet people and maybe find someone special, I started to fear they might soon start setting me up on blind dates. So, I chose the lesser evil and agreed to the book signing on the day my new book officially launches.
Gun and Krist seemed pretty okay with the move, but I had a bad feeling. It's been 17 years, and I'm no longer the crybaby I used to be, but I know I'm the most sensitive of the three of us and don't handle stress well. Fortunately, Gulp is nothing like me; he's very athletic and fearless. Since childhood, he's appointed himself as my protector, and I'm incredibly grateful he's growing into such an empathetic person.
I looked at Gulp, who was sleeping in the chair next to me, and with a smile, I ruffled his hair. He's my little bundle of joy with a fiery temper. Then I looked out the airplane window and saw us slowly approaching Bangkok. I'm curious to see how things will unfold. Curious about what the next year will bring for our little family.
3 person POV
When the plane landed in Bangkok, the boys were full of excitement. As soon as the seatbelt sign turned off, they were already looking out the windows, trying to catch a glimpse of their new home.
"Wow, look at all those buildings!" one of the boys exclaimed, his eyes wide with wonder. "It's so different from what we're used to!"
Krist smiled, feeling a mix of pride and relief. He had been worried about how the boys would react to the move, but their enthusiasm was contagious.
As they walked through the airport, the boys had plenty of questions. "What does that sign say, Momma K?" "Can we try some Thai food?" "How far is our new house from here?"
Krist patiently answered each question, enjoying their curiosity. He could see that they were eager to explore and learn about their new surroundings.
When they finally stepped outside, the warm, humid air hit them, and the boys took a deep breath. "It smells different here," one of them noted, looking around with wide eyes.
"That's the smell of adventure," New said with a smile, ruffling his son's hair.
The drive to their new house was filled with excited chatter as the boys pointed out various sights along the way. "Look at that temple!" "Did you see that market?" "I can't wait to see our new pool!"
Gun was waiting for them in front of the house, greeting them all with a smile. "I have a little surprise for the boys," he whispered to the Mommas. The boys ran off to explore the inside of their new home, and the three Mommas heard a collective shout of "POOL" followed by the sound of a splash as at least one of the boys had already jumped in.
"They're still just kids," Krist laughed.
"The pool is a great idea, I'd forgotten how hot it gets in Thailand," added New.
When they arrived at the new house, the boys were full of anticipation. As soon as they stepped inside, their eyes lit up. It was clear they were excited about every corner they discovered.
