We continued talking after that, mostly over the phone. The conversations were casual, sometimes dipping into sexting, but they never felt particularly deep. Then one day, she just disappeared—ghosted me without explanation. I tried a few times to reach out, wondering if something had happened, but there was no response. I was more annoyed than hurt. Why couldn't she just tell me she wasn't interested instead of vanishing into thin air? It felt like she was leaving the door open, and that frustrated me even more. If she didn't see anything happening between us, why not just say so?

Ghosting seemed to be her way of saying I wasn't the right one for her, but instead of telling me outright, she took the easy way out and vanished.
