By the time I reached the last leg of my trip in Germany, I met someone new—a Polish doctor. She had some of the traits I was looking for in a partner. She had a stable, decent job, and emotionally, she seemed mature. But there was something missing—she seemed unavailable emotionally, distant in a way that left me unsure. What solidified that feeling was when, during one of our dates, I went to the washroom, only to come back and see her swiping on Tinder. My heart sank.
I was faced with three choices: fly back to Singapore, stay in Berlin and keep dating the Polish doctor who wasn't that into me, or return to Paris hoping that Nadine would reach out to me. Bear in mind, at that point, Nadine and i weren't even talking.
I chose Paris.
I found an apartment in Bastille for about €2200 a month and started posting on my stories, making it clear that I was in Paris. I had made my decision.
