For the next week, I posted Instagram stories, and she sent me reels, hinting that she wanted me to ask her out. But I didn't. I was tired of always making the first move. After two weeks, she finally asked if I wanted to hang out. I declined, saying I had a date that night but suggested we meet the next weekend to check out the lesbian clubs in Hongdae.

I flew back to Seoul and we met up in Hongdae, and I had booked a room in Hongdae at the last minute. I thought it was fine, but she arrived and called it a "ghost town hostel." That's when I realized how high-maintenance she really was. I thought that my standards were already high, but hers were on another level.

Before we met, she requested that I used a dildo on her. I used the dildo she had asked for, and she screamed so loudly that I was sure the neighbors could hear. When we finished, I overheard someone next door whispering, "I wonder if she's done." I chuckled to myself—it was clear I had done a good job if Ashley was that loud.

After we had sex, we put back our clothes and decided to check out a lesbian bar. I was excited, hoping the nightlife would add some spark to the evening. But the scene was underwhelming—half-empty with an atmosphere that didn't match the hype. The people weren't as attractive as I had imagined, and the energy in the room felt flat. We both scanned the crowd, trying to get into the vibe, but neither of us really clicked with it.

I didn't speak Korean, so I felt even more out of place. Ashley wasn't much better off. She had told me before that she loved dancing, so I encouraged her to hit the floor and show off her moves. But she just stood there, scanning the room like me, hesitant to engage. Maybe she was shy, or maybe she wasn't feeling the place either. It was clear we were both a little out of our element with us grumbling that the people looked too young.

We ended up spending the night standing by each other, not really blending into the scene or making much of the night. We were simply hopping from bar to bar. It was disappointing, considering I had hoped the night would be more lively and fun.
