Chapter 9. Inching Closer

Inching Close.

Mew has joined their family business with Tae. He got busy understanding the deals and contracts. Yeah he was a topper in studies, but business needs experience. 

So here he was. Learning everything from scratch. Zee was doing his final internship. And Gulf was busy with his doctrate and hospital.

They would meet at breakfasts and dinners. Telling stories. 

Mew was bit relaxed. He thought may be Zee has grown up now. He wasnt clingy these days. He did feel a bit in the beginning but now he could concentrate fully on his work. Having another boyfriend was totally out of question for him. But yes, he would sometimes get hard thinking about those intimate moments he spent with Zee.

Mew came downstairs irritated. Tae was watching tv in the lounge with Gulf. They quickly picked up their mood. 

"What happened Mew"? Tae was concerned at his grumpy mood.

"Nothing Phi. My air con not working. Seems like some leakage. And its too hot. I think am gonna sleep in the lounge tonight". He was upset. Because he couldnt sleep anywhere than his room. 

"Sleeping here isnt comfortable Mew". Tae patted his shoulder. 

"Its okay Phi. Its about one night only. Will call the mechanics in the morning. Now would you guys please move your ass to your room. And turn the lights off". Mew was asking them to leave.

"Phi why dont you move with me"? Tae and Gulf was just about to leave when Zee came. He overheard the issue.

"Thats a good idea Mew. You can crash his bed tonight as usually he does". Tae second him. 

Mew and Gulf looked at each other before Gulf subtly noded him to go, before Zee would plan to stay in the lounge too.

And Mew knew. He wont be able to sleep tonight. But still its better to keep the drama inside close doors..

"You are avoiding me these days Phi". Mew was laying sideways when Zee turned to him to face him. The room was in poor light. Just one bulb in the corner stand. But they could see each other like the back of their hands. 

"Am not Zee. Just busy with work". He smiled softly. 

"You could have come to me Phi instead of going in the lounge". He was sulking now.

"I thought you are asleep. I didnt want to disturb you baby". He softly removed the fringes covering his forehead. 

"Phi". Zee scooted close to him resting his head on his arm. 

"Hmmm".

"You dont hate me right". He asked and Mew was kind of surprised.

"Why would i hate you Zee"? He reorted

"Phi... May be because....". 

"Listen. Yes it is weird. Yes its odd. But i dont and i cant ever hate you. You are my baby, since i held you in my arms for the first time. 

Things would be a lot easier if we were not blood related. I would have courted you, would have dated you. Hell i would have opted to marry you. But you know its complicated. 

I dont want any boyfriend. Am scared due to my previous experience. If i cant bound a person with love in four years, that means am a failure. 

And who knows if i can survive the next time or not. Am happy as i am. With my family. And friends. Even if you continue with..you know hitting on me. Even if i respond you. May be it would be the heat of the moment.
