Chapter 17. Pulling it Through

Pulling it through.

Zee woke up with a faint noise of beep. He squinted his eyes tight before opening them. 

"Where am i"? He mumbled almost inaudible trying to sit but he was held back as Mew came in sight. 

"You are in hospital. And you need to stay in the bed". He was serious. More than worried. But tensed. Zee could feel it. 

"What happened Phi"? He was confused, how come he end in hospital. Mew just raised his eye brow controlling himself. 

"We will talk about it later. For now take this juice. And let me call Gulf". Mew helped him to sit and take juice and pressed the bell button. 

"Hey buddy. How you doing? Had a nice sleep? I guess i should be appointed as a family doctor for both of you. Am sure you guys can pay mr hell better than this hospital". He was talking cheerfully. 

"Ohh. So we pay you less than what they can pay. Huh"? Thanitt entered the room with Tae and Tee. 

Gulf faked a facepalm. .

"I think i lost the chance". Everyone laughed at his antics. 

Gulf looked at Zee busy with his brother and friends and Mew was just sitting in the couch. His eyes were screaming something. And Gulf had to sort it out before Zee finds out. 

"Phi'Mew. Since everyone is here. Can you help me in the office. I kind of lost one important file. And cant find it since morning. So can you please". Gulf asked him and he nodded. 

"What is it Phi"? Gulf held him to sit as soon as they reached the office. 

"I saw his mobile last night. Somebody blackmailing him". Mew was frowning. His forehead creased with worry.

"Who? How"? Gulf was shocked. 

"I dont know who. But its like few days back i was to Phi's office, and while returning, in the basement, Zee ran to me for a...umm.. A kiss. And there althoug the parking was empty, somebody click a picture. Stating that they need some confidential information regarding the firm. Or they will go public. 

And then last night. What happened in the bar. It kind of triggered him.  I havent talked to him yet about it. Dont want to upset him more. But i have asked a few friends of mine to trace the number. No success as of yet". He told him fidgeting with his fingers. 

Gulf was silent too. Suddenly Mew's phone went off. 

"Yes Phi. Yes we found the file. Okay okay we are coming. Gosh Phi. I just took your husband for fifteen minutes and you are whining like a five years old". Mew was laughing out and Gulf smacked his arm faking anger. But Mew could see he was tinted pink.

"Lets go Brother in Law. Your husband is missing you". He teased tugging him to go.

Zee was resting. He was to leave for home this evening. But what matter to him was Mew. He was silent. Looking at him with a Knowing look. And he was not able to guess it. Besides he was too mentally tired to think about anything. He knew Mew wont stay quiet for long. And he was waiting to go home.

Gulf came in the noon to have a look on his charts. And let him go home with Mew. Though he wanted to go too but he had an appointment.

"Phi". Zee called Mew as they were home and Mew changed him into fresh cloths before tucking him in the bed. 

"Hummmm". He sat beside him racking his hair.
