Chapter 14. The Journey

The Journey

The family woke up to the familiar aroma of food lingering in the home. They all smiled watching a dancing Mew, arranging the table, putting up the breakfast he made for everyone. 

"Morning Phi'Mew". Gulf greeted him taking his seat and he noded smiling. 

"Phi. Sit. I have something for you". Mew held Tae to sit beside Gulf. They both were looking at him with wide eyes.

"What"? 

"Ta'dam". He playfully handed them envelopes and they were reluctant to open it. 

"Why are you looking at it like this. Am not pranking i promise". He was laughing and munching his breakfast. Zee was looking at him for any hint but he winked. 

The envelope had tickets and passports with approved Visas for Tae and Gulf. Three days return ticket to Maldives. Hotel reservations and a romantic candle light dinner as a gift from Mew. 

"Phi". Gulf looked at him and he was grinning ear to ear.

"Liked"? 

"Mew. Its too much baby". Tae was serious and he was too.

"Phi. Nothing matters more than a family. You both have suffered a lot. Especially my cute brother in law. I may not be conscious all the way, but i know he must have spent sleepless nights. He would have skipped his meals to take care of me, you. 

I have simply no words to say how sorry i am. And how grateful i am to you guys. And this means nothing. I can never repay what you have done for me Phi. You took me in, when mom dad threw me out. You took care to feed me, educated me. To provide me with everything i have. And i owe you with my life. 

If at any point in my life you need me, just call me, and i will be by your side. This is just a token to say how much i love you both and how blessed i am to have you by my side.

So cut short the emotional drama. You guys are leaving on Thursday Night and i hope to see you back on Sunday's night. 

Enjoy your time in the clear waters. Take care of each other. And yes. Make my Brother in Law happy.. Deal"? Mew held his hand out and Tae pulled him for a hug. He was in tears. So was Gulf. 

"Thank you Mew. Thank you so much. Am happy to have you. And i did nothing for you. I did what i was supposed to do. You both were my strength and Gulf completed my life. Am so blessed. I love you all. I do". He opened his arms for a big hug.

Mew had resumed his office. There were only two days for Tae and Gulf to leave. So they had to sum up the meetings scheduled for Tae, before he would take charge.

It was Thursday in a blink of eye.

Their flight was scheduled at nine pm. And they were currently checking for last minute things. 

"Everything packed"? Mew asked them. It was three in the noon and they had to leave maximum by four. 

"Yes all done". Gulf checked and locked their suit case. 

"Good. Need us to drop you off"? Zee asked but Tae refused. 

"Nope. I have called the cab. You guys take care of each other. Dont fight okay? Zee dont stay out for long. No plans with friends okay. Stay at home with your Phi. And Mew dont give into his demands okay. I know he is your weakness. But still. Okay. Keep the locks checked at night. No need to open for strangers. And no horror movies at night. Infact, call Thanitt for a stayover. It will be fun. What say.? And...".
