The 3 Day wait

With how close the time is, I want to enjoy my peace before the Saiyans come. Nappa and Vegeta. I know I've surpassed them. I want to make sure my family is safe. I don't want to lose them. My home with Princess Snake is built in a cave, one I eroded out myself with precise ki control. It took some effort to get it approved, so anyone seeing a shaved mountain when they pass by a cave is going to be confused when someone pulls up to the doors on a cave. I question how I was able to get WiFi in here as I sit holding my son, Gato.
"You want to read the text, Gato? Alright then, I'll read it to you." I smile and tell my son, watching as the baby is 6 to reach for a martial arts text. I pick it up, setting him down on my lap and reading it to him for the next hour. He seems to soak in the information as if a flowing river taking in more water from another source, seamlessly taking it into himself. He has so much potential. He's just like me. He's so cute as well, a little snake kitty hybrid, with human genetics. A walking, endless pool of potential, yet to be unleashed. Gato falls asleep as we finish reading the text, subconsciously hugging it in his sleep. I smile, picking it up and carrying him to bed. Going upstairs to mine and Princess Snakes shared room, I set Gato down in his crib, tucking him in. "He has so much of him in you, dear." Princess Snake says from the bed, laying with a smile in the middle of the day as she watches Gato sleep. I lay down next to her, smiling.
"He wants to be a fighter. Just like his old man." I respond, feeling more determined than ever to beat the Saiyans. Since I let Raditz happen, I'm going to be a target of Nappa and Vegeta. I know that. Keeping my family safe here is important. I also know where Majin Buu's egg is, so dealing with that later is a priority. Preferably after Namek, so Supreme Kai can take it somewhere where Buu CAN'T cause problems, and Babidi can't find it. For now, I'll keep quiet about those. Don't want to start a Shibuya incident from Majin Buu's Egg. I fall asleep next to Princess Snake, knowing the next 2 days from here will be important.

5AM, Day 2.

I wake up early, as usual. Getting up in a way that won't disturb Princess Snake or Gato, I get dressed and step outside. Preparing my body for the strain, I started to use the Kaioken to test my limits. "Times 2." A red aura swells around me, taking a stable form. "Times 3." The aura remains stable. "Times 5." The aura grows in size but remains stable. "Times 10." My body begins to struggle, but the push will be worth it. My energy explodes. "Kaioken times 20!" The area shakes, everything trembling. My body gives out. I drop to one knee, Kaioken fading. Taking out a Senzu Bean, I eat it to fully recover. Standing back up, I relax. "Times 5 will be my set limit then." Hearing the door open behind me, I turn to look at Princess Snake. "Sorry for disturbing you, dear. I was testing something." A tired but happy Princess Snake smiles, grabbing me and dragging me back inside.
"Come back to bed, sweetie. You can train later." She implores, dragging me by my arm back to the bedroom, closing every door we pass by. I let her throw me back into the bed, and I hugged her close, enjoying time with her today. This life is peaceful. One I love. I've turned my life around, but I want to help people. I want to stay here, but I'm not ageing, so I know I won't be able to stay. I'll treasure my time here, I'll let myself love it.

8AM, Day 2.

Sparring against Piccolo isn't very productive for me. I'm far too above him now for it to matter, but I do help train Gohan, providing a lighter regimine than Piccolo as a balance. Gohan will be well-rounded that way. Ki control and a high power. I also introduce him to my son and wife, Gohan being genuinely shocked I had a kid in the time training. On the side, I'm also working, having multiforms handle certain things. Multitasking is easy with this.

12AM, Day 2.

Lunch out with the family. I feed Gato by doing the aeroplane method, making Princess Snake giggle at how much of a parent I'm being. It makes me flustered, but I'm alright with it if its her. She's the one I love as my wife, and I love Gato as my son.

3PM, Day 2.

More training. Sparring with Krillin on Kami's Lookout. I also try to teach the principles of the Kaioken, but not much progress is made, which is slightly annoying, but it's fine.

7PM, Day 2.

I undress for bed, setting Gota down in his crib and reading him a bedtime story. Once he's asleep, I get in with Princess Snake. "Goodnight, dear." I tell her, giving her a kiss on the head.
"Goodnight, love." She responds, kissing me on the lips, then we close our eyes to sleep.

7AM, Day 3.

I train in the early morning alone this time, refining my turtle school style by mixing it with Snake and Cat based martial arts. Baby Gato watches with Snake as I train. Gato tries to mimic me, but he's only doing small babbles and tiny movements, which makes him absolutely adorable.

12AM, Day 3.

I sit watching TV with Snake and Gato, watching him take in different martial arts shows, videos, and lessons as if having a Sharingan of sorts, copying everything, and learning quickly. I find it adorable, really.

6PM, Day 3.

I sit worried with Princess Snake and Gato, holding Gato in my arms. "Do you think I can win? Against the Saiyans? I want your honest input." I ask Snake, looking at her with a nervous expression. She looks back at me with a smile.
"It'll be fine, dear. I promise you're stronger than you think. You've honestly overtrained. You're stronger than those Saiyans." She responds, smiling with love and affection. I calm down, smiling back at her, then bringing her into a family hug with their son.
"Thanks, I can always count on you. Thank you for being here for me, I love you. I'll win this for our future, and for our child. For those around us. For those we have to protect." I respond, looking back at her with equal love.

4AM, the day.

Awakening, I sit up. Going to the shelf, I get a postic note and pen, writing down a message: "I'll be back. I love you." -Will.
I then put that next to her bedside, going over to the slightly awake Gato, who noticed I woke up. I pick him up in my arms.
"Daddy has to save the world, okay Gato? I'll be back." I tell him, caressing his cheek.
Gato looks at me, slightly babbling, trying to form words. Finally, a miracle.
"Papa..." Gato speaks, leaving me in shock. He isn't even 2 or 3, yet he's said his first word.
"Yes, Papa. Papa will return." I comfort him, my words carrying worry and hope. He feels at ease, slowly falling back to sleep. I set him down in his crib. From there, I tuck him in with a martial arts text and plushie, then exit the room after making sure the crib is secure.

7AM.

The sun rises. I stand silent in the wasteland, waiting for Piccolo and Gohan, along with the others. As they land nearby, I turn to look at them.
"He said his first word." I simply say, the words being enough. Piccolo smirks, Gohan shocked.
"He does have you in him, you shouldn't be surprised." Piccolo responds, making me slightly chuckle. A moment of peace before the battle begins. What a good day to fight for what I love.
