Synchronisity

Silence within my mind is all that remains as I sit looking at Zoom, as my cat stares back. This endless void of shifting black and white seems to be our shared mindscape. The silence is tense as we look at each other.
"I know you don't want to work with me on this, but trust me. We need to be fully synchronised if we want to achieve that power. That 'Warrior Cat' power. Now I say it, though, it does sound furry-like." I bluntly state, calm but deeply concerned about Namek. A few weeks have passed of this, and it's the last day before the trip to Namek on the Capsule Corp spaceship. I look at Zoom with a calm expression, knowing he can understand me and is just choosing to give me the silent treatment. His judgemental stare is hard to really take. "I acknowledge I went too far against Vegeta, but I wasn't in control of myself. We're both part of this fused body, buddy." I lean towards Zoom, who sits up, stretches, then walks over to my face. I know we can talk in this shared space, and I can understand his meows. He lets off a small chain of meows. I sigh. "I understand you're scared, but it'll be fine." I go silent for a moment, thinking about my next words, looking at the crystal formed on my shoulder. I'm the one that carries the Ultra Supervillainous Power, so it's obvious why he's hesitant. "How about a challenge? If I can figure out how to purify this dark power, and I'm able to do it BEFORE we get to Namek, you agree to fully synchronising. Deal?" I hold out my hand to Zoom, leaning back and waiting. He watches, purring. He raises his paw, but I don't hesitate. He puts it on my hand. I nod and exit the mindscape, returning to reality as I stand up from my meditative stance. Calm and collected, I walk into the building I was in front of. A shrine. One to a goddess that was long forgotten. A woman with nine tails, a fair complexion, and a loving smile. Staring at the statue, I sit down and focus on my positive emotions. While unleashing the Ultra Supervillain form, I pour all my positive energy and good memories into it. The faint pinkish glow starts to shift to a cyan, but stops mid shift. No crystal forms, but when I open my eyes, I can't see it, but I know someone can. The eyes are a cross between pink and blue, the crystal iris in the eyes shining. It isn't complete, but its progress. It feels as if the statue is watching me, but I don't think much of it. Leaving an offering out of kindness, though, I place a small bit of fox food in a bowl for the goddess, if she can even eat it. I then turn away, walking out of the building as, without my knowledge, the statue starts to shift. My offering caused something, but I won't know it yet. Not until later. I find myself at peace at the moment, though, knowing I did a good thing today.
