I sit with Gowasu over tea after explaining why I'm here, letting him process everything.
"You're here to stop a god from going down a dark path, but who? Does this involve my student?" Gowasu starts off the conversation, calm but concerned. I finish my tea, setting down the cup with a serious expression.
"Yes. It involves Zamasu. He's going down a dark path. His views on mortals will, in time, become darker when he sees a tournament between my universe and universe 6." I respond, the seriousness never leaving my voice as I continue. "I've also seen what happens if he pursues those thoughts. That's why I want to help him see his views are wrong, and not every mortal deserves destruction and death." Gowasu is quiet, then speaks up after a moment.
"Would you like to talk to him now then? I can call him over." Gowasu suggests, causing me to nod in return. After a few minutes, Zamasu steps out of the building, taking an occasional disgusted glance at me.
"What am I needed for, master?" Zamasu questions, calm and hiding his hatred.
"Zamasu, this man wishes to aid you with thoughts you've supposedly been having. I will leave you both alone to deal with this at his request." Gowasu responds. "I'll retire to my room for now." Gowasu then walks inside, leaving me and Zamasu alone as I stand. Zamasu looks at me with a glare.
"What could you possibly want from me, mortal?" Zamasu asks in a very disdainful tone. I give a respectful bow.
"I understand your anger, Zamasu, but allow me to explain. All will become clear. Let's take a walk as I explain." I respond, calm and focused as I start walking to the pink torii gate. Zamasu follows. "Let's get right to the core. What do you think about mortals?"
