"Welcome to my humble abode," Travis said, opening the door of his and Ross's apartment. Taylor let out a laugh as she shook his head. His silliness had to be one of her favorite things about him. His ability to make her laugh was important to her.
"Its really boring in here," Michael said when he entered his father's place. Everything was basic in the apartment. There was only essential items in each room. "Blakey's apartment has more stuff."
"Yeah, stuff that you almost broke a million times," Ryan told the little boy. Michael turned to look at him, poking his tongue out at him.
"Leave my son alone," Blake said, pulling Michael into her and kissing the top of his head. "If he would have broken anything, you would have replaced it."
Travis let out a laugh. "What were you doing to almost break stuff, bud? Running?"
"Yeah, I could run around Blakey's house and play with my toys," Michael informed him.
"Yeah, let's not talk about that," Taylor told them all, pleading for a topic change. "How about you give me a tour of your apartment?" She asked with a smile on her face.
"Well....this is the living room." Travis said, waving his arms to present the room they were currently standing in. "If you turn this way, you'll enter our wonderful, yet basic, kitchen" he led them about three steps to the kitchens doorway. "And down this very short hallway are the bedrooms and bathroom." He pointed to each door and named the rooms.
"Are you going to show me your room in more detail?" Taylor asked, a devilish smirk on her face.
"I'll show you anytime, baby," he replied, matching her expression with one of his own.
"None of that. It's still daylight outside." Ryan butt in, causing Taylor to roll her eyes. Travis opened his bedroom door, and they stepped into the door way. It was basic. There was a bed, with blue sheets, and a simple dresser with a TV hanging form the wall.
"It needs decorations," Taylor said, looking at the simplicity of the room.
"Well, I'll give your my credit card, and you can Blake and go shopping for what you think would make the place look better." Travis told her, kissing the top of your head.
"Why does it seem like you have unlimited money?" Taylor asked with a laugh. He had been spending so much money on her and Michael since they had gotten there, and now she was curious about his normal spending habits.
"My savings is pretty healthy, " he told her, closing the door to his bedroom as they walked down the hall to where Michael's room would be. He opened the door, showing her the current state of the room. It only consisted of an unmade bed, a desk, and a TV that was still in the box on the floor. "This is Michael's room. We used it mostly as an office, but not really." Taylor nodded, making note of what Michael would need for another Spiderman themed bedroom.
"Oh, another big bed!" Michael said as he walked into the room. "Can I have more Spiderman stuff?" He asked, turning to look at both Taylor and Travis, a smile on his face that had to be one of the best things Taylor had ever seen in her life. He looked so happy. His behavior had improved significantly over the course of camp and the last couple of weeks. He wasn't having as many nightmares, and when he mentioned past events, it was usually in a way that signified that he wanted to replace those old memories with new ones with his new family.
