Travis pulled into Tree and Lance's packing lot 15 minutes after Ryan got the call from Blake saying that Taylor had a panic attack. It took them no time to pack up what they were doing, stop by a store to pick up some things that Taylor would like, and head back to Tree and Lance's. Getting out of the car, he got the things meant for Taylor, and both he and Ryan walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. Lance opened the door. "Come on in, the girls haven't made it back just yet," he told the two guys, stepping aside to them in. They walked in, and Lance shook his head, seeing all of the bags that Travis had in hand.
"You're going to spoil her, Trav," Lance said, laughing.
"It's what she deserves," Travis answered. Ryan nodded in agreeance.
"Exactly. I'd go back to jail for her if I have to," Ryan said. "Where's Michael?"
"Michael's up in his room, watching TV or playing his game," Lance told them both as they walked into the living room. They took a seat on the couch, relaxing, until the girls got back.
"Go back to jail for her?" Travis questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"I kind of beat the fuckers ass that put her in the hospital. Ended up in jail for a couple of months for it. I know some people still in that handle him for me every now and then. Last I heard he was in the hole on suicide watch because he got jumped so bad," Ryan let out a laugh. "He put my sister through hell for the few years they were together, so I'm going to keep making sure his life if hell until the day he dies."
"Do you keep in contact with the ones you know in there?" Lance asked, wondering how he had this information.
"Of course. I keep money on my boys' books for doing me this favor. Some of them have no one to send them money for commissary. Some are in there for life and have nothing to lose. They keep me in the know, keep him in pain, and I keep sending them money when I have it to send." Ryan explained. He had become good friends with some of the guys in the jail that he went to for those few months, It just so happened to also be the prison that Jake went to once he was sentenced for his crimes.
"Give me their information. I'll get in on sending them money from time to time as well." Lance said.
"Me too," Travis added.
"I can definitely give y'all the information for the guys," Ryan told the both of them. Just as he was about to say more, the front door opened, and Tree, Taylor, and Blake walked into the house, with Kylie close behind.
"Hey, sweet girl," Travis said as Taylor walked right to him, wrapping her arms firmly around him. He buried his face in her hair as they hugged each other. "Your hair smells amazing," he told her, taking in another whiff of her hair's scent. "What happened?" he asked, gently rocking her from side to side.
"I saw someone that looked like Jake," she whispered, mildly embarrassed that she had a freak out over it.
"I'm sorry that happened, baby," Travis told her, rubbing her back. "You're safe now." Taylor let out a little hum, soaking in Travis's scent and warm embrace.
"You smell good," Taylor told him, which made him laugh.
"Thank you, baby," he replied.
"Mommy!!!" Michael said, bolting down the stairs from his bedroom. "Mommy, you're back! Let me see your hair!" Travis kissed Taylor's head again before he released her from his grasp to allow her to pay attention to Michael and his request.
"Oooooh, hot momma!" Michael said once he was able to see Taylor fully. "It looks so pretty, Mommy!" Michael walked around her. He reached up to touch her hair. "I can barely reach it now when I stand up, but it's so soft!"
