"So," Parker said, getting a chair from the stack and placing it down by Kylie's. "Tell us about her. I know you know all the tea."

Kylie raised an eyebrow at him. With Travis and Taylor out of the room, Michael had taken up residence in Kylie's arms as he continued to read his book. "Do you really think it's my place to tell you her business?" Kylie asked. "Especially when the baby is right here?" Kylie had slipped into her protective mode.

"As much as I want to know her story, Kylie is right. It's Taylor's story to tell, not Kylie," Ms. White said.

"Ky?" Michael said, looking at his book intensely.

"Yes, sweet boy," Kylie said, looking down at Michael, who was still standing comfortably between her legs and leaning against her.

"What's this word?" He asked, pointing to a word in the book he was reading.  Kylie replied, telling him the word he was struggling with, and looked at the amount of pages he had already gone through. Kylie was convinced by the end of the night, Michael would be done or almost done with the book she had gotten him only a matter of an hour ago.

"Am I going to have to go back and get you the other books?" Kylie asked Michael with a little laugh.

"Yeah," Michael replied, not even looking up from his book. Ms. White laughed at the little one.

"He really loves to read," Ms. White said.

"Yeah, he does. I should have gotten him more than one book if I knew he was going to read it so quickly," Kylie said.

"Maybe Carter will let him get a book or two from the library. Green would be pissed, but we don't care about his feelings." Dia whispered with a little laugh.

"We can just start building up the library for his room and get him some more books; it's fine," Kylie said.   Kylie rubbed the hairs on Michael's head, just like Taylor did when he stood on her like this.

"You really love this little boy, don't you, Ky?" Dia asked, looking at the way Kylie comforted and soothed the little one that was basically cuddling her.

"Yeah," Kylie said, just above a whisper. "Yeah, we all do. It's so good to have him and Taylor in our lives." Parker just nodded. He wanted to ask more questions but could tell that Kylie wasn't going to budge; she wasn't going to answer any of the questions he had, no matter how much he pleaded.

"I can't wait to call Katrina and ask her about all of this," Ms. White said, calling Tree by the special name she had given to her many years ago.

"Who's Katrina?" Michael asked, finally breaking away from his book.

"She's talking about Tree, bud," Kylie told him, laughing a little at his sudden curiosity.

"Her name's not Katrina. It's just Trina!" Michael said, which made Dia, Parker, and Ms. White laugh. "She said I have to know her real name and Bear's real name so if nobody can call Mommy or Daddy, I know their name and phone numbers."

"Bear and Honey. Oh, I can't wait to make fun of her for this," Ms. White said.

"That's not very nice! My Honey didn't do anything to you for you to be mean to her," Michael defended. Michael may have been 100% a momma's boy, but he had also become a  grandma's boy rather quickly as well.

"Oh, I'm just kidding, sweetie." Ms. White said. "He takes things very literally," she whispered more to herself than to the others in the room. "Ky...?"

"Yeah?" Kylie answered.

"Is he autistic?" Ms. White whispered.

"You know..." Kylie said, pausing as she turned to look over at Ms. White. "Trav's mom has been wondering the same thing. But he's not that I know of."

"I see some signs," Ms. White said in a sing-song voice. "I see some in mom as well."

"How did you pick that up?" Dia asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Years upon years of experience. You'll get there too one day, dear," Ms. White told her with a grin on her face.
