I was currently working on my presentation paper for my next class. Second year is seriously no joke, sometimes I just want to drop out but yoh! My parents would kill me especially dad. I was seriously exhausted and burnt out. I haven't had any proper sleep in weeks! School literally has me by my tits right now. I definitely deserve a whole night out when I finish my last paper Thursday.

Xolisa: "Babe. I know you haven't eaten anything, here." she says placing a steers paper bag on my table.

Me: "Thank you babe but I'm going to class in like.." I glanced at my watch while closing and packing my books.

Me: "..5 minutes. Oh my gosh! that man will eat me alive!"

Xolisa: "Take your food! You will eat in class." I kiss her cheek and run out of my room. I know I will find her there because she practically lives in my room during the day but I honestly don't mind.

I actually arrived a minute early for my class and was the first one to be called to present. Your girl scored an A+, well it's how I always do. I walk into my room and find Xoli lying on my bed eating my dried fruit snack while watching her Chinese videos on her phone.

Me: "You will buy my snacks wena!" I say pointing my finger at her. She sticks out her tongue at me and continues with her disgusting videos. Honestly, I can never stand hearing the sound of someone chewing so how much more just watching people gobble food like some starved animals. It's insane honestly.

Xoli: "Your boyfriend was here looking for you." I roll my eyes. I honestly don't know why that boy thinks I can ever date him.

Me: "That ain't my boyfriend plus I don't do boys." I tell her rolling my eyes.

Xoli: "Yeah sure, you do your lecturers." I gasp then hit her with my pillow.

Me: "Nothing is happening between me and Devone." Devone has been blowing up my phone these past couple of days. I'm just thankful that it's exam season so I don't bump into him frequently on campus.

Xoli: "Yeah right!" she rolls her eyes. Xoli is actually 3 years younger than me. She's also in her second year, just that she's a smartie so that's why she's in Varsity instead of high school. We chill for a little while before she bids goodbye.

I change into some comfortable clothes and go to the West wing where the boys stay. Well, I study at UCT with my younger brother and we both live in the school dorms. We both refused an apartment to share because that was just a way for Dad to keep tabs on us. I knock then let myself in

Me: "Hey yous!" I greet my brother and his boyfriend. They were both cuddling on his bed.

Yamkela: "I will give you guys some space." he gets off the bed, wears his shoes then leaves.

Me: "Please dish up for me. I'm so hungry." He rolls his eyes, gets up, and prepares a plate for me. Mmh he cooked pasta and mince, yum! LJ is actually a better cook than me.

Junior: "I need a favor."

Me: "What?" I ask gobbling my food.

Junior: "Please borrow me two grand from your allowance. I will replace it next month sis, I promise." I glare at him. He knows I don't like using my allowance on useless stuff so I always make sure to save as much as I can.

Me: "Why didn't you ask your brothers?"

Junior: "I can't get ahold of them and you know they'll snitch on me to Mom." I roll my eyes taking out my phone. I transfer the money to him.

Me: "You better pay it back."

Junior: "Thank you so much!" he hugs me quickly.

Me: "Now, dish up for me in a container. I will eat it later." he rolls his eyes standing up to go dish up for me.

Junior: "You need to learn how to cook sisi, aybo!"

Me: "Aybo!"

Junior: "Where's your mans?!" mxm.

Me: "Bye Junior." he laughs at me. He and Xoli always mock me about Devone, saying he is my man. I take the lunchbox with my food and go back to my room. I go take a shower then get dressed in my pyjamas. Just as I settle under my covers, my phone rings and I answer without checking the caller ID.

Me: "Ebsuku kanje?!"

Devone: "Lihle. Can I please see you?"

Me: "did you see the time?"

Devone: "I know kodwa ngiyakucela." I sigh hanging up then grab my gown. I cover myself then walk out. I find him standing right beside the gate.

Me: "Why are you here?! Are you trying to get me in trouble?! You are a lecturer! I can't be seen with you so late! I don't want to be expelled mina!"

Devone: "You talk too much. Woza." he pulls me by hand, leading me to his car. He opens the passengers door for and I get in, he follows suit, getting in the driver's side.

Devone: "Can we take a short drive please?" I sigh nodding. He starts the car after putting on some soft music and drives off.

Devone: "I'll be back." he says after parking in front of some restaurant. He rushes inside and comes back after a few minutes.

Me: "Why am I here Mr Carson."

Devone: "We haven't chilled together in so long and you have been avoiding me. I missed you." I feel my heart pounding and some tingling in my stomach.

Me: "I have been studying for my tests."

Devone: "Mmhm. Can we just chill here and then I will drop you off after."

Me: "Okay." my voice comes out in a whisper.
