Another day, another dollar, they say. Honestly people may look down on workers in retail stores and supermarkets stores but they don't know how hard the work actually is.

Gule: "You can go now, Majola." I couldn't be more grateful. My stomach was in knots because of the hunger. Gule and I work together and we also take turns working when it's one's lunchtime.

Me: "Okay sure." I salute already walking out after i've updated him. I bump into my brother just as I was about to enter the staff room.

Sqalo: "Bafo." we man hug.

Me: "I thought you were joking when you said you would drop by."

Sqalo: "I don't joke like that bafo plus i missed you. We haven't spent tike together since you moved out from home."

Me: "Let me go get my bag then we will have lunch together."

Sqalo: "I was thinking we can go to that shisanyama joint in town."

Me: "Sure. Wait here." I quickly dash to my locker and take off my apron and get my phone. I find him standing where I left him, sipping on juice.

Me: "Asambe bafo." he hands me his juice and we get inside his car and drive off. We get to the place and find a table outside and sit.

Sqalo: "How have you been mfanakithi?"

Me: "You know me, I'm always good. You? How's work?"

Sqalo:" "Hhayi i'm so tired bafo ay. My life sucks honestly. It's always work, gym and sleep. No friends sijce you moved and no girlfriend."

Me: "What?! What happened to Mandisa?" he clicks his tongue.

Sqalo: "We broke up. She cheated on me with her nyoape cousin. I literally found them in action in her flat."

Me: "What?! That's crazy and disgusting."

Sqalo: "I know man. She has been blowing up my phone begging me to not say anything to anyone." I laugh out loud. Some girls are trash man.

Me: "What?! That's sick!" We continue catching up and honestly I missed us.

Sqalo: "What are you looking at?" he asks also turning. I completely zoned out as soon as my eyes landed on her. She is wearing a short loose fit dress, showing her yellow thick legs. She is holding a little girl's hand and the other hand is holding her handbag.

Me: "Man, I love that woman." I tell my brother. He just chuckles.

Sqalo: "Go greet phela."

Me: "Nah, i think she doesn't like me."

Me: "I'm sorry, I have to go." I say standing up and getting dressed. I look for my wallet while she is just laying on the bed with a small smile on her face watching me move around.

Ntokozo: "Fana."

Me: "Listen, I'm sorry things got this far and I let it. This shouldn't have happened." She sighs and sits up. I totally regret coming in for 'coffee' , the coffee she offered turned into two joints and sex which I now regret because I feel like I used her.

Ntokozo: "I know it wasn't supposed to happen but I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind if we kept seeing each other in secret. I promise to keep shut about it and also not cross any lines." this? I wasn't looking for it.

Me: "We have already crossed lines Ntokozo. I am not trying to hurt you, again I am sorry from the bottom of my heart and I hope you forgive me." she fakes a smile and nods.

Ntokozo: "Sure. Please lock the door on your way and push the key underneath the door." she says then lays back down covering herself with the duvet facing the wall. I sigh and grab my things then walk out. I lock the door and shove the key underneath her door just like she asked. I get in my car and check my phone for the time and it's already 10pm, damn! Oh i have a message too, I open it and I got the job I applied for. If Remy will ignore me then I will make her notice me.
