Melody took us to this very classic club by the beach. We got a table and started ordering alcohol and an all meat platter.

Me: "How do you know this place again?"

Melody: "Do you forget that I was also a resident this side?"

Sqalo: "This isn't the type of scenery I need. I want to be in a club where the smell of sweat, booze, smoke and many other smells hit you as soon as you walk in. Those are the type of clubs that are really fun!" I laugh out loud while Melody snorts in annoyance.

Me: "But this place isn't so bad, bafo."

Sqalo: "But lana, we won't have any babes throwing themselves at us."

Melody: "And then you wonder why these girls play you so much?!"

Sqalo: "Mxm."

Me: "Swelihle will be so mad at us tomorrow."

Melody: "Hhay ngeke. We can't be clubbing with kids just because she has turned into an adult."

Sqalo: "Actually we can because she will be more safer with us." Melody sways her hand in the air.

Melody: "She is going to get over it."

Me: "Vele vele, what's your deal with Sweswe?" she rolls her eyes. If i didn't know any better I'd say she has an issue or something. She always has something to say or criticise Swe for.

Melody: "What do you mean now?"

Me: "Nevermind. Let's just have fun tonight."

Some guys joined our table with their girlfriends and we have been having fun so far. I excuse myself abit so I can call my girlfriend.

Sqalo: "Uyaphi?"

Me: "I need to call my woman." he grins and nods. Melody gives me a side glare that I choose to ignore. I stand by the wall and dial Ntokozo's number. It rings for a while before she answers just as I was about to hang up.

Me: "Baby."

Ntokozo: "Did you see the time Fana?"

Me: "Yes but I miss you."

Ntokozo: "Where are you?"

Me: "I'm in Cape Town, my small brother tried committing suicide and so we had to urgently come
this side. I'm sorry for not calling."

Ntokozo: "It's okay babe. I'm sorry about your brother, I hope he is okay?"

Me: "He is fine, thank you. The doctors said he is out of danger now so he will be okay."

Ntokozo: "That's good baby. I need to sleep now, I have an early shift."

Me: "Okay. I went out with my brother and sister hy the way so I will call you when I get home."

Ntokozo: "Okay, goodnight."

Me: "Goodnight for now baby." i hang up and turn to the other corner to take a piss. The toilet is very far from here so they will have to forgive me. Just as I finish, I find Melody standing behind me.

Me: "Yewena! You scared me." she lightly chuckles licking her lips.

Melody: "Sorry. We were just wondering what's taking you so long?!"

Me: "I did say I wanted to call my girlfriend nje so what's your deal?!" She rolls her eyes and follows me inside.

We get home around 4am and everyone is asleep as the house is dark. We stand outside for a few minutes.

Melody: "Why are we standing outside again?"

Sqalo: "I also don't know, let's go." We walk towards the door and try opening but the door is locked.

Me: "Let's call Swe."

Sqalo: "Don't bother she will ignore us."

Mom: "Y'all really should get your own keys, yall can't keep waking me up to open up for you."

Sqalo: "Sorry mama." she rolls her eyes and waits for us to enter before she locks the door.

Mom: "There is food in the oven, eat, drink painkillers, shower then go sleep." I swear we will always be her babies. I hug her.

Me: "I love you." she smiles.

Mom: "I love you baby."

Melody: "Thank you mah."

Mom: "Sure. Don't forget to wash the dishes you will be using, I don't want any dirty dishes on my sink later on."

Me: "Don't worry mah." she kisses my cheek.

Mom: "Let me go back to my man then. Good morning by the way."

After doing everything as mom said, I get under my covers and then video call my girlfriend. She answers after a few minutes.

Ntokozo: "Hey?"

Me: "I'm under the blankets now, about to sleep baby." she chuckles.

Ntokozo: "Okay baby. I'm getting ready for work."

Me: "Usebenze kahle yezwa?" she blushes.

Ntokozo: "Thank you."

Me: "Ngiyakuthanda." I tell her as I feel my eyes getting heavier by second.

Ntokozo: "I love you too."

Me: "Don't hang up until i'm asleep baby." she chuckles and nods as she lotions her body.
