The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow over the tranquil valley. Zara Lamar stood at the edge of a cliff of Naboo, her gaze fixed on the distant mountains.
Beside her, the Obi-Wan Kenobi's blue eyes watched the same sunset, their shoulders almost touching, but not quite.
"Well, how's it feel to be a proper Jedi, Master Kenobi?" she joked, although her smile didn't quite reach her eyes.
"I don't feel any different, really," Obi-Wan replied.
Their mission had ended, but the journey had left them with more questions than answers. The loss of their teacher weighed heavily on their hearts, his final words echoing in their minds:
"Learn to love each other."
They had faced countless dangers together, relying on each other's strengths and finding solace in their companionship. Yet, the comprehension of their feelings remained elusive, hidden beneath layers of uncertainty and unspoken words.
As the last rays of sunlight faded, Zara turned to Obi-Wan, her warm red eyes reflecting the colors of the twilight sky.
"Do you think we'll ever understand what he meant?" she asked softly.
The boy smiled, a gentle warmth in his blue eyes.
"Maybe it's not about understanding," he replied. "Maybe it's about feeling."
She nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. They stood in silence, the world around them growing darker, but the bond between them growing stronger.
They'd always been friends, ever since Zara first set foot in the Jedi Temple, and yet, much of their relationship or the way they regarded each other was still a mystery.
In that quiet moment, they wondered about Qui-Gon's words, about their meaning, about their intention.
Then, his arm around her shoulders, and her arm around his waist, they walked away from the cliff, ready to face whatever the future held.
Together, they would learn to love, just as their teacher had wished.
