Chapter 45

Immediately the class came to an end, I went out of the building with Chloe to the field.
"What do you think we should do to the people left to be attacked?" I asked Chloe.
"I think we should hold on for a little while as they just had a prayer now," Chloe said and I nodded.
"That's right," I said to Chloe.
Chloe looked at me and smiled.
We both looked at each other, holding our hands tight.
"Chloe!" I called out looking at her.
"Yes, Sophia," Chloe replied.
"Let's play a bit before going back into the building," I said looking at the main building.
Chloe nodded her head and smiled.
"Alright let's play," Chloe said.
She looked around the field, then smiled again.
"There are numerous people here so I guess that we can't fly." She said and I nodded my head.
"Let's jump or race together," I said.
"Alright, let's jump," Chloe said.
We both moved to a clear area in the field and smiled.
"Alright let's go," I said.
"Let's begin with jumps," I said.
Chloe nodded her head happily.
"Let's get to know who is faster at jumping." She said and I nodded.
"Let's start," I said.
We started jumping picking a distance to stop in away from the rest of the children.
I smiled as I jumped faster, but Chloe jumped faster than I did. I increased my pace as I jumped trying to meet with her. She first got to the end point and I smiled clapping for her.
We jumped back again for few more times then decided to race.
"We would race as fast as we can to that pole," Chloe said and I nodded.
We both ran as fast as we could to the pole. I increased my pace and outran Chloe. I was happy as I ran and came to a stop when I got to the pole.
Chloe got to where I was a few minutes later and clapped for me. I smiled excitedly as I saw her.
We heard clapping as we hugged excitedly and looked at the children who were clapping while watching us with smiles on their faces.
"May I join you in your race?" A girl asked, and I turned to look at Chloe who smiled nodding her head.
"It would be nice," Chloe said smiling as she looked at me.
I looked at the girl and nodded my head.
"You may join us," I said nodding my head and the girl joined us.
"I guess you know how to race," Chloe said looking at the girl who nodded her head.
"Do you think you can beat us in racing?" I asked and she nodded her head.
I smiled looking at the girl and stretched my hands to Chloe who came close to me.
We moved back, away from the girl and I whispered to Chloe.
"We should allow her to win the first round, then we both will win the remaining round," I said and Chloe nodded.
"Alright let's do it." She said.
We walked to the girl with a smile on our face.
"Hello, sweetie," Chloe called, and the girl faced us with a smile.
"Yes." She answered.
"Are you ready for the race?" Chloe asked and she nodded her head.
"Yes, I am." She said nodding her head.
Chloe looked at me and I moved close to the girl.
"We planned to run seven rounds, and we had done a round before you joined us. Now we are left with six rounds. Would you be able to run six rounds with us?" I asked and she nodded her head.
"Yes, I am capable." She said and I nodded, looking at Chloe.
Chloe took a deep breath and looked at the girl.
"We are going to race to the pole over there then back to these poles six times. Are you still in? isn't it too wide for you?" Chloe asked.
The girl looked at the pole we were at and compared the gaps between the two poles.
"If you both could do it, then I can do it." The girl said, and we nodded.
The people who were watching us went to have their sit in various places away from the three of us on the field watching us.
We placed the girl beside us and began to race. I quickened my speed and then heard Chloe through the mind link.
"We are meant to allow her to win this round," Chloe said through the mind link reminding me of our plan to allow her to win her first round and I reduced my speed.
She ran past me and smiled looking at me. I turned to look around as every other person was cheering us up with their clap. The girl got to the pole and started panting, but still didn't give up as she ran back to the pole we began from.
Minutes later, we all got to the pole we started our race from, and I looked at the girl who we allowed to win the round as she was patting.
"Can we take a break before we start the next round?" I asked looking at the girl so that she could rest a bit, but she stood up shaking her head.
"No, we won't. There are five rounds left and we can't be lazy." The girl said, and I nodded.
Chloe smiled looking at me.
"She thinks she can beat us in the race," Chloe said through the mind link and I smiled.
"I was only trying to give her some space to rest before the next round," I said.
"I do know," Chloe said.
The girl looked at us.
"Let's go!" She shouted.
We started running and we both outran her while she panted.
I won the second round and mutilated while Chloe clapped.
Minutes after, the girl met us. She started panting heavily, and I suggested that we take a rest, but she refused.
"Rest is only meant for the lazy ones." She said and I nodded my head smiling.
We had the third round with her and I also won. I could see the determination in the girl's eyes as she didn't want us to rest.
We had the fourth round, which I also won. I smiled, seeing that I had won the round.
We had the fifth round and Chloe won the round.
The girl decided that we rest but the final round and I smiled, nodding my head. We sat down and rested for some minutes.
Minutes later, the girl got up.
"Let's have this last round." She said. "I do promise to win this round."
I looked at Chloe, who just smiled.
"Alright, we should have this last round," Chloe said.
We began to run, and the little girl put in all her energy as she ran but we both outran her, reaching the end pole and beginning pole together.
