“Alright, we would be leaving now.” We both said to Jane.
Chloe and I had explained to Jane that we wanted to fast for the day, and she accepted. We both said our bye to her before leaving the main building.
The children looked at us with fear in their faces as we moved towards the door while some other children smiled as we walked towards the door.
We reached the door and opened it, then walked out of the main building to where we were to have the day's class.
Getting to the building we were to have the day's class, I walked to a bench and had my sit, while Chloe went to another bench to sit.
“I really didn't think I would still like to be friends with Chloe after remembering me murdering her cousin, but I still find myself being friends with her,” I said to myself looking at Chloe.
“She behaves weird at times, but I have grown to love her,” I said to myself, smiling.
Chloe got up from where she was sitting and walked up to me.
“Won't you like us sitting together?” She asked, and I could only smile looking at her.
“I would love to,” I said. “But I would love us to sit separately to instill fear on some children,” I said and Chloe smiled.
“Alright.” She said and walked back to have her sit.
I looked at her as she went to have her sit, then looked backwards as students started trooping in.
I smiled anytime I saw a child who had seen me drinking blood that day and could see their fear. It was really fun seeing them like that, as none of them wanted to sit with either me or Chloe. They even pulled Students who wanted to sit near either of us.
I was delighted seeing the fear on their face and could not help but laugh.
Minutes later, the teacher entered the class.
“Good morning students.” The teacher said.
“Good morning teacher.” We all chorused.
“I would advise that you all get your drawing materials ready before I start the lecture of the day.” The teacher said.
The teacher was our art teacher. He always taught us the art of drawing and creation.
“Alright.” He said a few minutes later, seeing that we had all brought out our drawing materials.
I sighed as I looked at him. I really felt lonely without Chloe by my side. No one wanted to sit beside me and I felt great, but I felt lonely without Chloe.
I regretted wanting to scare the children without thinking of how I would feel without Chloe being by my side.
I raised my right hand immediately the teacher wanted to begin the lecture.
“What do you have to say?” The teacher asked.
“I would love to change where I sit,” I said and he looked at me.
“Where would you love to sit?” The teacher asked, and I pointed to where Chloe was sitting.
The teacher smiled, looking at me.
“I actually thought you both were angry with yourself and that is why you sat away from one another.” He said and I spooked my head.
“Alright, you may come sit beside Chloe if she likes.” The teacher said, looking at Chloe, who nodded her head.
I smiled and got up, then walked close to Chloe, who hugged me immediately. I sat down.
“I really missed you. I felt lonely without you sitting next to me.” Chloe said hugging me.
“I also felt the same way, and I regret wanting to embark on that mission without you being by my side,” I said and Chloe smiled.
“It was really cool,” Chloe said and giggled.
The teacher cleared his throat, looking at us,, and I smile,d, releasing Chloe.
“It's enough best friends.” The teacher said, and we both smiled.
“Alright, sir.” We both said focusing our attention on the teacher.
The teacher looked at the board and scribbled some words down before turning to look at the class.
“Pick up your pen.” The teacher said.
He also asked us to open our drawing pad and taught us how to draw new things after which he graded us all based on what we drew.
He taught us for two hours before ending the class.
“We end the class here.” The teacher said clearing up his desk.
We all stood up to leave the class.
Getting to any of the child who had seen us feasting on the blood, they stopped and cleared the way for us to pass.
I smiled as I enjoyed it. It really felt like they were respecting us, although they did it out of fear. I walked majestically along with Chloe, and we both walked out of the classroom.
We went to the play area in the field and I held Chloe's hand tight. We moved to a secluded place, and I opened my bag, bringing out meat.
“What is this?” Chloe asked and I smiled.
“This is meat. I got it from the child whose blood I drank.” I said and threw it away.
We both looked at each other and started laughing.
“What do they think they are?” Chloe asked while laughing, and I could only smile.
We looked up and saw children come into the field.
On seeing us, some people ran into the orphanage's main building, and I smiled, looking at Chloe, who burst out in laughter.
“I truly enjoy watching them being scared,” Chloe said and I nodded my head.
I looked at her and held her hand.
“What game would you like us to play?” I asked Chloe, who placed her hands on her jaw thinking of the game we should play.
“I think we should play any of the human game,” Chloe said and I looked at her.
“Like what?” I asked, and she pointed to a boy who was playing with his first.
“Alright.” I said.
We played like a human and were relieved for the day.
Few hours later, we both went into the main building.
