Two days later,

We who were Diana's mates sat around a table with three elder people sitting with us. One of the elder people was Jane. I looked at her as she had a large grin on her face.

One of the elder people was also a man, while the other was a woman. The man and woman wore similar clothes and sat next to each other. The man got up from the chair he was on.

"Good morning Children." The man said as we all looked at him.

"Good morning sir." We all said.

"I am glad to introduce myself to you all as Mr. James Raffaello and with me here is my wife Sara Raffaello." The man said pointing to the woman beside him who wore a cloth similar to his.

The woman also got up to her feet and bowed her head.

"It's a pleasure to meet you children." The woman said smiling before having her sit and her husband continued.

"We are here to get the daughter who we adopted last week." The man said.

Diana looked at the man and then bowed her head while I shook my head.

"We would need to get her soon, for our journey is still long." The man said.

I looked at Diana and then at Chloe who had an unpleasant smile on her face.

"Alright," Jane said and got up to her feet.

She walked close to Diana and pulled her up.

Together, they went into Diana's room in the orphanage and soon after, they came out with Diana wearing clothes similar to the couple's clothes.

Diana looked at me on getting to the table side and pulled out the chair she had sat on before.

"No, you won't sit there but here," Jane said to Diana pointing to a vacant chair beside the couple.

Diana walked over to the couple's side and Mrs. Raffaello drew out a chair for her to sit on.

"Alright, now that we have gotten our daughter, we would like to give you children something." Mr. Raffaello said getting up.

Mr. Raffaello dropped two boxes on the table and a bundle of money.

"We would love to take our leave now with our daughter." He said and Mrs. Raffaello stood up holding Diana up.

Jane got up from her chair and followed them couple out. Diana turned back and waved to us before stepping out of the building with her new parent.

We all sat down in the same position. I looked up as I felt sad. Chloe walked to me and put her hand across my neck.

"You do not have to feel lonely as you have me as your friend. We also have so many things in common." Chloe said, and I nodded my head looking at her.

I got up and hugged her.

"Thanks for being a great friend," I said, hugging her.

A few minutes later, Jane walked back into the building and Chloe immediately went to take her seat.

Jane sat on the chair she had sat on before and cleared her throat.

"Sophia!" She called looking at me.

"Yes, Miss," I said.

"You would have to move to Diana's room," Jane said.

"But why?" I asked.

"Because that room is always reserved for the eldest among your mates." She replied.

"Does that mean that I would be the next to be adopted?" I asked.

Jane looked at me and smiled shaking her head.

"That isn't what I mean," Jane said and I looked at her.

"I don't want to be the next," I said and Jane smiled.

"You may be. It depends on our client." Jane said.

"Alright," I said.

Minutes later, we were all told to leave the table. I was instructed by Jane to move into Diana's room and I nodded.

Chloe looked at me and held my hand. She whispered into my ear telling me that nothing would come in the way of our friendship and I could not but smile.

"Alright, You may go," Jane said to me and I nodded my head.

I held Chloe and we both went into my room. I picked up some of my clothes and took them into Diana's room. I went back into the room and packed in some things that I felt I would need.

Some minutes later, I was settled in my new room. I sat on the bed while Chloe bounced on the bed.

"I love your new bed," Chloe said and I smiled, nodding my head.

"It's nice," I said.

"Yes, it is," Chloe said, nodding her head.

"There are plenty of things I need to check in this room," I said to Chloe and she looked at me.

"You can do it quick. You just sit right here, close your eyes, and smell the fresh breeze." Chloe said and I smiled, nodding my head.

"Alright. It's quite funny." I said.

"You just need to try it," Chloe said.

I sat still and closed my eyes as I took in a deep breath.

I started seeing flashes and held Chloe's hand tight, but the flashes stopped after some minutes.

I left Chloe's hand immediately after the flashes stopped and looked at her.

"Perfect," I said.

"Perfect," Chloe replied with a smile.

She got up from the bed and started jumping around the room, and I could not but smile.

"Can I stay with you for the night?" She asked me and I smiled nodding my head.

"Yes, you can," I replied and she jumped on me, hugging me.

I looked at her and smiled.

Minutes later, we both ran out of the room holding our hands and then Chloe left my hand when we got to the field. She raised herself and started flying.

I looked at her and smiled shaking my head.

She flew towards me and held my hand up.

"You have the ability." She said to me, and together we flew.

Children started coming out of the main building and Chloe held my hand while we flew down.

I looked at her.

"Why do we have to come down?" I asked her.

"So that the children won't get to know our power." She answered.
