Flashback: Vivian (age 13)

Spring harmony day.

Where boys gave chocolates to girls.

All the girls were murmuring excitedly about who they wanted chocolates from.

I didn't care who I got chocolates from.

I just wanted to know someone gave me chocolates because they were thinking about me.

They didn't even have to be good or home made...

Maybe this year will be different...

Maybe this year I'll finally get some.

I look at the time.

9:45 am

Chocolate giving ended at 10 am.

After that,school began.

I hear a giggle beside me and look over to see a girl receiving chocolates from some boy,her giggling happily as she accepts and turns to her friend.

I look down at my lap,sighing.

This really sucked...

Looks like this will be the same as the last three years....

I hear a clunk on my desk and look up to see uehara and aosuke-in human form- looking at me.

I look down to see ueharas hand resting on a box of chocolates.

He slides the chocolates to me and looks away.

"Some chick gave these to me outside of school. I don't want it,so you'll take them,right?"

I feel my cheeks flush and I smile big,squeezing my skirt softly.

"Th-thank you!!"

Uehara looks at me softly.

"Geez...it's just chocolates,vi."

I shake my head.

"But...you gave them to me...you're the first person to ever give me any...and I'll eat every last one of them!!"

Aosuke gives a soft smile and uehara stares at me for a moment.

He then turns pink,looking away.

"I don't care if you eat them. I just don't want you feeling left out..." Uehara mumbles.

There's a giggle beside us.

"I knew it. Pity. She acts so pathetic they feel sorry for her. Everyone knows Miki is the prettiest girl in school. She should know her place." A girl whispers to another,in our ear shot.

Uehara stares at them for a long time.

Glaring.

Then turns to me,with a smile.

"Actually,vi. I lied. I made these. I was too embarrassed to admit it. Aosuke helped me. We think you're the prettiest girl in the school,and the sweetest."

Uehara turns to the girls.

"Well...hmm..I don't know..Miki is pretty...you're right....but under all that makeup...? And let's not forget the fact she's a fucking hateful bitch."

Uehara walks over towards them,leaning in.

"I don't see your chocolates anywhere....I'd be bitter too if nobody wanted me. You popularity-thirsty bitches make me sick. I don't know what it is with you females these days but being a jealous twat isn't cute."

The girls blink,dumb founded as two boys come walking up,nudging eachother.

"C'mon,sora."

Some guy points at uehara.
