Chapter Forty Two

"wanna hang out? I wanna show you something."

I read the text from aosuke on my phone.

"I'm at ueharas."

I was standing on ueharas porch,mentally freaking the fuck out.

Why would he bring me here knowing uehara hates me???

I sigh and click my phone off, hesitantly reaching up to knock on the door.

It's quiet.

Too quiet.

God my anxiety was through the roof.

The door swings open to reveal uehara,looking at me with disgust in his eyes.

Just stares at me.

"Uh...aosuke wanted me over. I'm here for him." I say.

Uehara drops his hand from the door,turning and walking off while leaving the door open,so I assume that was an invitation.

Aosuke comes down the stairs and smiles at the sight of me,gesturing to the couch.

I sit down next to him.

"Is it just y'all two?" I ask.

Aosuke nods,entering my head.

"Yeah. Except Ise. His oldest brother was here too,but he moved out a long time ago."

"How do y'all pay rent?"

Aosuke shrugs.

"Uehara steals,resells the items."

Uehara casually comes between us,sitting right in between me and aosuke.

Scrolling his phone.

I blink.

Aosuke pulls his mask down.

"Uehara,move." He says bitterly, aloud.

Uehara doesn't answer,just keeps scrolling his phone.

Aosuke raises his brows at uehara and uehara grunts in response.

Aosuke had entered in ueharas head,talking to him I assume.

Aosuke shakes his head and gestures for me to follow him upstairs,so I hop up and do so.

He leads me to his room and plops on his bed.

"Uehara can be such an asshole sometimes,I'm sorry vi." He signs to me.

I shake my head.

"No it's okay,I'll just give him a big ol kick next time. Right in the jaw,like haaa!"

I do a high kick and aosuke blinks at me.

Then turns away,face flushing.

"...Vivian..."

I blink.

"Yes?"

".....please don't attempt high kicks in skirts...."

My face flushes.

"I-im so sorry!"

He shakes his head,waving his hand dismissively.

"It's fine."

I tilt my head.

"Didn't you say you uh...wanted to show me something though?"

He nods and gestures for me to sit next to him on the bed.

I obey and he looks at me.

Then suddenly,hugs me.
