Chapter Thirty Six

I...can't believe I confessed to akemi...

I..kinda liked being the reason he smiled.

The only reason.

I...wanted to explore him.

His mind...his heart...his pain...his body....

But I was still scared to trust him.

It's... embarrassing to think about...

"Vi?"

I snap out of my trance to see uehara,raising his brows at me.

"Your face is all red. You thinking about something dirty?"

I flush immediately and he chuckles.

"Just teasing,vi."

He thrusts out a boxed lunch at me.

"Here,I made this for you."

I smile and take it and he leads the way to a shaded area to sit and eat at.

Jun comes up,bentou in hand and tilting his head.

"About that lunch invite,is now a good time?"

I look over at uehara.

Uehara acts casual and nods,so Jun sits.

Ao slithers from around ueharas neck to his arm.

Jun nods at him. "Hey,ao."

Ao hisses in response.

"Why does ao hate me??" Jun asks.

Me and uehara chuckle,knowing ao secretly is crushing on Jun. He masked it well.

"Ao,here. Put these clothes on,I made bentou for you too."

Uehara says,tossing the clothes behind a tree and ao slithers off towards the tree and behind it.

Moments later,he comes back in human form,fully clothed and sits across uehara,taking the boxed lunch he made.

Uehara starts up a conversation with Jun and they laugh at some inside joke.

It was cute..uehara and Junya bonding.

He seemed really happy.

I look at ao,smiling.

"Hi,aosuke."

He blinks,mouth full,and awkwardly nods.

I laugh and hear footsteps approaching us rapidly,and I look up to see a guy jogging towards us.

He was right on the path to uehara and his eyes were closed with earbuds in.

"Ue,look out." I whisper,pointing but uehara was so engrossed in jun's conversation.

So the unaware jogger bumps right into uehara on accident.

The guy apologizes and keeps going,but when I look back at uehara,he had fallen on Junya.

...lips pressed to jun's.

Junyas eyes widen.

Uehara rips away quickly and ao blinks.

"Uh-i-" uehara stutters, embarrassed.

Jun cuts him off.

"I-its okay,it was an accident,I know."

Uehara lashes out.

"Sh-shutup,Jun! God,I want to hit you."

Jun shuts up quickly and looks down awkwardly.
