It will go away one day, this constant feeling of anxiety? I asked as the door was about to shut.

"Even though it is my job to cripple you with doubt and uncertainty, I refuse to be the bearer of false hope." Anxiety responded

Why me? I questioned

"You are one of them. The void, and I am your friend not a foe. For your heart is tender and soft so I come to serve as a reminder. I come to warn you of the dangers of mankind, I protect your heart by numbing all other feelings."

"Some people were born to give more love than they will ever get, to feel deeper than they'll ever show. Not everyone can be a poem so poets like you exist, always the one doing the writing and never the one being written about."

"You were chosen to turn melancholy into literature, into something relatable. What breaks you will be a wonder to the world."

"And that is why."
