Title: Endgame

Setting:
A storm brews over Gotham, lightning occasionally cracking through the night sky. The Bat-signal shines from atop the GCPD, but the entire Bat-family has already gathered on the rooftops. Bruce Wayne—Batman—stands at the front, his cape billowing in the wind. Alongside him are Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood, Robin (Damian Wayne), and Red Robin.

The city’s underworld has been in chaos ever since Basileus rose to power. He’s no longer a small-time villain. He controls entire gangs, bends politicians to his will, and outmaneuvers anyone who tries to challenge him. Tonight, however, the Bat-family is ready to end his reign.

Batman (Bruce Wayne): (in his signature growl)
"Intel says Basileus is holed up in the old Arkham Asylum ruins. This is his stronghold."

Nightwing (Dick Grayson):
"And we’re taking him down tonight?"

Batman:
"Once and for all."

Red Hood (Jason Todd): (loading his guns)
"About time. This guy’s been playing games for too long."

Red Robin (Tim Drake): (quietly)
"He’s been waiting for this. He’ll be ready."

Robin (Damian Wayne): (smirking)
"I’m more than ready to dethrone this so-called king. I’m surprised you’ve let him get under your skin, Drake."

Red Robin glances at Damian but says nothing. He knows Damian can’t understand the deeper game Basileus is playing. This isn’t just about control—it’s about obsession, and tonight might be the final confrontation Basileus has been craving.

Batgirl (Barbara Gordon): (looking at Tim)
"Tim’s right. We should be prepared for anything. Basileus won’t go down without a fight."

Batman:
"Everyone stays sharp. We move in from three sides—cut off his escape routes, surround him. He’ll have men, but we’re better."

Later that night—Arkham Asylum Ruins.

The Bat-family moves in, swift and silent. They split up as planned, entering through different wings of the dilapidated building, working their way toward the central courtyard where Basileus is believed to be. Red Robin and Nightwing are side by side, clearing the last of the henchmen as they move into position.

Suddenly, Tim’s comm crackles to life.

Basileus (over comms):
"Ah, Timothy. I knew you wouldn’t disappoint me. And you’ve brought your family. How quaint."

Red Robin freezes, his heart pounding. The voice is coming from everywhere, as though Basileus is watching from all angles.

Red Robin: (into his comm)
"He’s here. He knows we’re coming."

Batman (over comms):
"Stay focused. Don’t engage alone, Tim."

**But before Tim can respond, the doors to the courtyard swing open, and Basileus steps out into the rain-soaked center of the ruins, flanked by a small army of his most elite henchmen. The Bat-family gathers on the periphery, surrounding him from all sides. It’s a showdown.

Basileus is dressed in full regal black and gold armor now, his mask gleaming under the rain. But his eyes are locked entirely on Tim, ignoring everyone else.**

Basileus: (loudly, his voice carrying through the courtyard)
"Timothy! The Queen returns to the board. And look, you’ve brought your pieces with you. Batman… the Knight. Robin… the Pawn. All so predictable."

Red Hood: (gritting his teeth)
"I’m two seconds from putting this guy out of his misery."

Batman: (commanding)
"Jason, no."
