Title: Quick Wit and Comebacks
Bruce was pacing in the Batcave, giving Tim a once-over as he adjusted to his new uniform. The younger vigilante had recently upgraded his suit—sleeker, more form-fitting, with new color accents that deviated slightly from the usual aesthetic. It caught Bruce’s eye immediately.
Bruce crossed his arms. "Nice new suit, Tim. Does it come in men's?"
Tim, who had been fiddling with a new gadget on his wrist, glanced up with a sly grin already curling at his lips. "I think you come in men," he quipped back smoothly, not missing a beat, "enough for all of us."
A silence hung in the air for a second as the words sank in. Bruce blinked, clearly taken off guard by the audacious retort. He opened his mouth to respond, but no comeback seemed to be quick enough for the occasion.
Nearby, Dick, who was doing some stretches, nearly fell over with laughter. "Oh, man! He got you good, Bruce!" he exclaimed between chuckles, clapping Tim on the shoulder.
Jason, who had been leaning against the Batcomputer, joined in with a smirk. "Gotta hand it to you, Replacement. That was a solid one-liner. B, you're slipping."
Bruce sighed deeply and pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to maintain his composure. "Right. Let's... get back to work."
Tim just shot a wink at his brothers, his expression triumphant. Even Damian, perched silently by the Batmobile, had to fight the faintest twitch of a smirk.
As Bruce turned to walk away, Tim’s voice floated up again, softer this time but still teasing, "Don't worry, Bruce. We all still love you—even if you're the one 'coming in men.'"
Bruce could only shake his head, a reluctant grin tugging at the corner of his lips as he walked off. He'd have to be quicker next time.
