Chapter 1

Alexis was hanging out with Hermione and the Weasley boys at her home in Grimmauld Place when a dark feeling started to build in the back of her mind. She was freezing all of a sudden as she shivered involuntarily. Terror gripped her heart with no perceptible reason.

Alexis clutched her head, screaming out in agony. She quickly realized it wasn't her pain, it was Harry's, something was attacking him. She fell to her knees the pain becoming overwhelming, as everyone came running asking her what was wrong.

"Harry, something is wrong with Harry," she said desperately before her eyes went blank and unseeing. Pain seared through her head, "Help him!" She let out an earth-shattering scream that rattled the windows before she finally passed out.

Sirius scooped her up in his arms, nodding at the other Order members before carrying her upstairs to her bedroom and laying her on her bed. Hermione and Ginny followed quickly behind him. With one last concerned look at her, he left her in the care of Hermione and Ginny and he hurried back downstairs. Hours passed before Alexis began to stir holding her head. "Ugh, what happened?"

Hermione and Ginny exchanged a glance before Hermione responded, "You don't remember Lex?" Alexis jerked upright her chest immediately tight with worry, "Harry!? Where is he, is he alright?"

"A few of the Order went to get him, he should be here soon. Lex wait!" Ginny shouted after her but it was too late, she was already up and running down the stairs. Her head was still killing her making her feet a bit unsteady. She didn't let it slow her down though as she took the stairs two at a time. She plowed into George as he and Fred seemed to be eavesdropping on the adults in the dining room.

"Woah, slow down Alexis. You breaking your neck won't make Harry get here any sooner," George told her as he steadied her. "Oh, sorry George. I didn't see you," she said smiling up at him.

George lost himself for a second as her intense green eyes locked on his. He had watched her grow more beautiful since he first taken her at the Yule ball last year. Over the summer spending day after day with her, he had become entranced with her. She tucked a stray hair behind her ear as she finally broke eye contact. She continued down the stairs slower than before and glanced up one last time at George. Fred was elbowing him and laughing as George told him to shut it.  She got to the bottom of the stairs just as the front door opened. Harry walked in followed by the others.

"Harry!" Alexis screamed as she jumped into Harry's arms.

"I'm fine Lex. No need to worry," he told her as he set her back down on the ground.

"We need to talk later, alone Harry," she whispered as all the other ran up. She backed up and faded into the background as everyone else greeted him. She slowly made her way back upstairs. She sat down on her bed mind spinning. She felt off after the connection with Harry earlier. She felt a darkness in the back of her mind that had never been there before. She rubbed her temples hoping maybe it was just a lingering side effect of the connection.

"Hey," George said leaning on the doorframe.

"Hi, want to sit?" Alexis asked patting the bed next to her. "Pretty sure Sirius would kill me if he found me sitting on your bed," he smiled deviously as he crossed the room sitting down beside her. George couldn't help but get lost in her eyes, and neither of them seemed to be able to even blink.

Alexis had never had anyone truly interested in her before George. The thought of George looking at her that way was something she would never have expected. She was the invisible one, always in Harry's shadow. Unfortunately Fred yelling for George broke the spell as he looked towards the door.
